Psalm 115:1 – Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.
This is a response to God that rings in the heart of all who know and love the Lord (Psalm 29:1-2). All who know and love the Lord know that it is the hand of God behind all the good that mankind may know and experience (James 1:17). God created all of creation (Colossians 1:16). Even before mankind was created God had him in mind as he formed the earth (Ephesians 1:4-6). Our Omniscient God knew that He would give the earth to mankind (Psalm 115:16, Genesis 1:26-30). God’s children know that He is God and there are no others (1 Corinthians 8:6). He is the creator and keeper (Colossians 1:16-17). All things belong to Him (Hebrews 2:10). All good gifts are from Him. Pride in man is a detestable thing to God (1 Peter 5:5-7, James 4:6). The evil of worldly pride is a lie, it is a boast based on a lie. It is a lie that man can, in and of himself, create. Man cannot create without having been blessed by God to do so. So anything man creates comes from the fact that God blessed him to be able to be creative. Man is able to think only because God created him able to do so. Man lives only because God created him (Genesis 1:27). God created all that is created including the heavens, the earth, all that lives on the earth, including mankind. And man can exist, continue to exist, and do all that he can do only as God has enabled him to do so.
So the redeemed of the Lord want no glory, but give glory, in all things, to the Lord God. God shares His glory with no man (Isaiah 42:8), but man benefits from His glory and all that He is. Man benefits from God because God loves us. So as we ascribe glory, we must always remember that the ultimate glory goes to God. It goes to God because He loves us and is faithful to us. Never does He not love us and never is He not faithfully watch over us (Deuteronomy 7:9, Psalm 86:15).
To God the Father, Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit be all glory, praise and honor! All who love Him say so because they know His works, because they know His love, mercy and kindness, and because the know Him. Yes, the children of God know their Father! Praise God! We are blessed and God has it all in control. Praise our God who knows all and has it all in control…forever. All is all. Forever is forever. Praise God!

Micah 6:8 – He has shown You, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of You but to do justly, to love mercy, And to walk humbly with Your God.
