Family, before we pray, before we beseech Him for the necessities of life, let’s consider who He is.  He is good (Psalm 34:8).  He is the God of gods (there are no other real God) (Isaiah 45:5).  He is the Lord of lords (There are many who consider themselves supreme, but only He is) (Deuteronomy 10:17).  He alone does great wonders (Only He created everything, including us) (Hebrews 11:3).  He spread out the earth upon the waters (Only He has the almighty power to create with the broad and the thin brush) (Genesis 1:1).  He made the great lights (He who is light put light on display for us) (Genesis 1).  He made the sun to govern the day and the moon and the stars to govern the night (God, only God did it) (Genesis 1).  He did this all with the vision of you and me being blessed by it.  Why, because “His love endures forever.”

Man, through willful disobedience had taken himself from the lofty place of communion with God in the Garden of Eden and found himself in the wilderness (Genesis 3:23-24).  From bountiful and abundant garden to a wild and untamed land.  Though man rebelled against God, God continued to love and sought out man to help him (2 Timothy 2:13).  He created man in love and His love for man remained, it remains (1 John 4:16).  He saw that the enemy hated His beloved creation (John 10:10).  God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son to die so that all mankind would have a way to be saved (John 3:16).  God provides for our natural daily sustenance (Psalm 54:4) and for those who heed His call, He Himself is our spiritual sustenance (John 6:53-58).   How can we know we are His?  We have within us a need to seek His face and gain His instruction through His Word (Psalm 27:4).  Knowing He is our sustenance, we urgently seek Him out because we cannot live without Him (John 17:3).  God has done great things (Psalm 126:3).  He did this all with the vision of you and me being blessed by it.  Why, because “His love endures forever.”

Be present with our God, in spirit and mind today.  Everyday.   Before we pray let’s consider who He is and what He has done for each of us, as individuals, personally.  He has loved us so.  Praise the Lord!

Psalm 150:6 – Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.  Praise the Lord!

Micah 7:7 – But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

Micah 6:8 – He has shown You, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of You but to do justly, to love mercy, And to walk humbly with Your God.
