Psalm 27:4
Surely Lord the words of King David
Resonate within me
“One thing, I ask of the Lord,
This is what I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to seek Him in His temple.”
Oh my Lord is there anything more beautiful?
Is there no higher calling,
Then to live at your feet,
Gazing upon your beauty,
Basking in your love,
Being surrounded by the power of Your might,
Warmed and secure in Your love,
Waiting in active anticipation,
Of Your direction to me?
How shall I not be happy
In hearing your direction to me?
For I have received of God Almighty,
He who alone is God.
Men will ask “Where have you been?”
I will respond “I have been and I remain,
In the Throne room
Of the God Almighty.
I have been at the Feet of my Father
At the Feet of my Lord and Savior and
Lovingly Held by His Spirit.
Enraptured am I to gaze on the majesty of God!
His Spirit engulfs and surrounds me with His love.
Where the Love of God is,
There is no fear.
Though I am in awe of
The only God Almighty
Of His great power and fierce strength,
I will not fear.
He has directed His love to me,
Shall a child fear the great strength of his Father?
Rather the child is comforted by the strength of His Father
His children rest secure in the shadow of their Father,
Knowing that with all his power and might
He shall defend them.
With all His resources He will feed them.
In the heat of the day
With gentle hands He offers them
Cool drinks of living water.
When the Father sends out his children
People will ask “What is your mission”?
“My mission is to do the will of my Father”
Then they ask “How will you accomplish it
For great is the opposition?”
“Not by my might, not by my power, but by the Spirit of my Father.
It is the authority of my Father who goes before me.”
“Who is your Father?” they inquire.
“My Father is He who created all.
“Mighty is my Father who created all living things.
All creation is my Father’s.
The earth you stand on
The air you breathe
You yourself
Have been created by my Father.
It is by my Father’s great mercy
That you were born and that you live.
The food you eat is granted to you
By my Father.”
They then ask “How has He supplied to me
For I have not known Him?”
“My Father is good and gracious.
Even to those who have not called to Him
He is good and gracious.
To those who have not honored Him
He is kind and patient.
However you have known of my Father.
When you gazed at the majesty of the sky
He spoke to you.
During the heat of the day
When the cool wind blew over you
Under the shade of one of His trees
He touched you.
When the child was born
My Father was revealed.
When looking at the animals and plants
Of the world,
My Father has called out to you.
When studying the smallest of things
Under a microscope
There my Father is found.
He created the mighty whale
Whose songs make manifest
The glory of my Father.
Surely you have seen my Father and
You have heard My Father’s song
In the songs He has placed within
Songbirds who sing in the morning and at night.
When alone you have cried out,
It is He who has heard you.
‘Who is your Father’ they have asked.
“He is the King of Glory,
He is the Ancient of Days,
He is the Lord of Lords,
The King of Kings,
The Savior of all who come.
His Spirit lives within me
And within all His Children.
It is from my Father that I have come.
It is to do His will that I go forth.
It is to Him shall I return,
To gaze upon His beauty,
And be in awe of Who He Is.
He is the great I AM,
The Ever Becoming One,
The God Who Is,
Who Will Be Who He Will Be.
He is my Father who is mighty,
Who stoops to soothe His children.
He I serve.
He I love.
He is who calls me home.”
“Where shall you go after doing your Father’s work?”
“I shall return where I have never left,
To my Father’s feet.
I dwell at the foot of His throne and
There I shall live forever.
Forever shall I dwell there
Secure in His love and peace.
