Waterfall has eyes,
They are eternity,
They are present,
They hold me,
And have become,
Part of me.
Through the waterfall,
Is great kindness.
Yet, I have never seen,
What I never knew,
Was I was not allowed,
Was to see behind its curtain.
To see the memories it has.
It shielded its memories,
From me,
Lest I know,
Lest I lose my step and slip,
Into its depths,
And become lost.
Yet it failed,
I looked deeply,
I fell in love with the shimmering beauty,
And I fell into the pool,
At the feet of the waterfall.
I didn’t want to be rescued,
Or swept away,
But the current from the falling water,
Ushered me away.
Still I remember,
Still I long to,
Hear again,
The softness of the Waterfall,
To peer in and have my gaze,
Never interrupted.
The beauty of it,
Depth without end,
Remaining kindness,
Soft, but strong beyond measure,
Wise, but ever learning,
Grand, but growing,
Inspiring without trying to be.
Oh, perhaps I may visit again.
If not, I will never forget,
And always love,
Waterfall.
