Devotion John 14:17b-19 He Has Been, And Is, Always With Us

John 14:17b-19 – “…But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.”

“But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.”  Family too often we look to our transition from earth to heaven and think that then we will be one with Jesus.  But here Jesus said that we need not wait for the blessing.  The Holy Spirit, Jesus and God our Father all live as one within all who love Jesus.  The live within right now!  He loves us and lives with us today, tomorrow and forever!  Oh celebrate the victory of Jesus and the glory of God!  Today, right now, we have the celebration of eternal life within us.  Praise God!

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”  Remember when we were finally old enough for our parents to leave us alone while they stepped out, it was a big day for us.  We were proud, ah, and maybe a little nervous!  We also remember how our parents made sure that we knew where they would be and how to contact us.  They gave a full rundown of all food, and they told the neighbors to keep an eye on us and if we needed help we could ask them.  Before they left us they took care of all the details to make sure we were safe.  How loving and grand is the love of our parents.  How much more so the love of our God!  Before Jesus left to Heaven He took care of all the details and left us a written plan to take care of us.  He left the Holy Spirit to be better than a neighbor that could help, but to be God within us who would guide and protect us our whole lives.  Jesus did not leave us as orphans, but as very loved and fully provided for children of God.  Oh, God is so good!

“Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.”  Yes, to the eyes of the person who does not want to see Jesus, they need not worry, on earth they will have that wish.  But they one day will, like it or not, bow before Jesus and their eyes will see Him.  But us dear Family, we do see Him.  We see His love and care all around us.  We remember every day, and especially celebrate on certain days, how Jesus paid the full price for our redemption. The world does not see Him, but we do.  Yes, praise God, we see Him!  We see Him at the birth of children and we see Him at the death of all loved ones who also love Him!  We have loved ones who also loved Jesus, our spouse, our Mom or our Dad, who left earth  Now their faith has become sight!  Oh the wonder beyond words they now see.  Today we celebrate Jesus and we will continue to celebrate and love Him all of our days.  We sing songs of praise now and continue to sing and celebrated as we cross Heaven’s threshold and beyond.  Oh praise God for Him within and for our guaranteed oneness with Him.  Family let’s celebrate our love for the position with Him now and for eternity.  Praise God!  Thank you Lord God for Jesus who was born as a man, suffered and died for all of us so that we can live with Him forever!  How exciting beyond words!  Than you Lord God that today and always we have eternal life!  Let us celebrate the resurrection of Jesus every day.  Praise God!
