Revelation 21:3-4 – And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Though He may attempt to tear me apart,
Savaged, I resolutely stand.
Not because of any strength of my own,
But simply because I trust my God.
When one walks through the midst
Of the battlefield in His name,
That person, when on assignment,
Is invincible.
When the assignment is over,
Invincibility is over.
Yet while on assignment,
Wounds may occur.
The bandages of wounds from the
Enemy I bear with honor,
Knowing what it is I fight for.
It is only the bandage of a self-inflicted wound,
That is horrible to bear.
Yet even that does not kill,
But teaches and reminds.
Still, it takes longer to heal.
Now, a fresh bandage is seen,
From another deep wound,
Yet I cannot,
I will not,
Withdraw.
The battle is of greater value,
Than me.
And at the end,
The High Commander will remove,
All the bandages,
And I shall see that He has healed,
Every wound and no scar is left.
Even now He heals me,
Then, at that day,
Healing will be complete.
So I stay on the battlefield,
Honored to be there.
