Devotion Isaiah 33:16-17 Your Loving Eyes

Isaiah 33:16-17 – They are the ones who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress.  Their bread will be supplied, and water will not fail them.  17 Your eyes will see the king in his beauty and view a land that stretches afar.

 At the lowest place

When I hurt the most

As stab wounds bleed

Self-mutilation screams

When the mirror

Is not a friend

But an accuser

I will not complain

Buried in decaying hurt

Yet I am not

Defeated

Bursting with hope

Joy overruns its banks

Hear me sing and laugh

From a strength

Not my own

I raise my hands

To the sky

Shouting the Victory

Given to me

By You

I have not lost

Anything that I

Ever owned

I can never lose what

I have always had

You oh Lord

I will not accuse

How can I accuse

The One Who is

Pure And Faultless

I will not accuse You

To release myself

From who I am

Greatest of possessions

Is You

Though I may lay

In the street

As Job had laid

Defeat is not known

In the furnace

I shout praises

To You

When I am kicked

Through the pain

Is the beauty

Of Your loving eyes

Lack of understanding

Lack of knowing

Means nothing

All I can see

Is the beauty

Of Your loving eyes

When trampled

All I can see

Is the beauty

Of Your loving eyes

When I cry out

“Jesus save me”

All I can see

Is the beauty

Of Your loving eyes

Your love is

My greatest reality

Hope therefore is

My constant companion

All I can see

Is the beauty

Of Your loving eyes

Thy Will
