Devotion 2 Corinthians 2:3-4 Enjoy, Laugh, Unite And Thank God

2 Corinthians 2:3-4 – Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Labor Day is a day that was created in 1894 to pay tribute to the achievement and contributions of American workers.  The American worker, through intelligence, sweat and ingenuity has brought fame to our country.  We may celebrate the contributions of all whether their job seem small or great, the contribution of a united all builds us all. It brings great satisfaction to work, to make one’s own way, and at the end of the week, to take a break and take comfort in what we have done.

Family, let us all remember that none of us would have the ability to work if God did not bless us.  It is He who enables and calls us.  On a day like today, we should celebrate with each other and we should celebrate each other.  Take time to share a meal, to share laughter and to share the friendships and love we share.  Especially take time to thank God who has given to us all the good things that we have.   Yes, we work hard, but God gave us the ability. Take time to thank God for the ability and the opportunities.

Since God has been compassionate to us, and given us great comfort, first in the Spirit and second materially, let us have great compassion with others and let us be a comfort and blessings to others.  Let us extend compassion and blessings to all just as God has given to us through Jesus.  God bless everyone.  God sent Jesus for everyone.  Let’s have a great day, and great lives, enjoying the blessings of God and being a blessing to others, just as is our Father in Heaven.  Let’s love on each other.  Love and blessings to all.  Praise our good and wonderful God!  Praise God!

Psalm 150:6 – Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.  Praise the Lord!

Micah 7:7 – But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

Micah 6:8 – He has shown You, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of You but to do justly, to love mercy, And to walk humbly with Your God.
