Psalm 62:1-2, 5-8, 11-13a – Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken. Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge. One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: “Power belongs to You, God, and with You, Lord, is unfailing love.”
Isaiah 43:2 – When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
Psalm 27:1 – The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?
Romans 8:31 – What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Today Almighty God please strengthen me and please enable me that I will walk faithfully in Your Shadow. May I walk in the footsteps personally formed for me. May no circumstance cause me to glance away from Your image. May no enticing call distract me from Your voice. You, Mighty God and Gentle Lord is where my soul rests. I sleep at Your feet and awaken to walk safely where You guide. You do not tire of my questions and pleas for direction. Though I can be slow to understand You are ever patient and loving with me. You, my Creator and Lord, understand me and know best how to lead me. You never condemn me but always uplift me. None, Almighty God, are more trustworthy than You. In the morning You wake me softly. During the day You walk before me and ever lead me that my steps may be bold and that fear may be a stranger. My understanding is not the thought that I can think out, but what I receive from you. I throw out what I understand to receive Your instruction. Your works and Your greatness well up within me and Your great love compels me to be a crier to the world. You overwhelm my soul and break the walls of my inhibition that I may tell all who will listen that there is no Way but you. You are my morning and You are my night! Ever are my eyes upon You, for You are the darling of my eyes and the home of my heart! Praises from my lips belong to You! May my hands work for You and my thoughts be the thoughts that You give me. With great passion I cling to the hem of Your garment, I can bear no distance between us. Lord God, my God, I love you with all that I am and only You are my hope and my aspiration. I long for You and so my hunger and thirst are satisfied. Oh God, thank You for keeping a weak person such as me close to you. Thank you that today you prepare me for the battles of tomorrow. Thank You Lord! Thank You! Please keep me close! Thank you! Ever will I praise You oh gentle and almighty God!
Psalm 150:6 – Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
