2 Thessalonians 3:13\u00a0<\/b>–\u00a0And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.<\/p>\n
Galatians 6:9 –\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.<\/p>\n Nobody cares what I do!\u00a0 I am not needed!\u00a0 I am easily replaced.\u00a0 If I don\u2019t do it, somebody else will.\u00a0 I don\u2019t make a difference.\u00a0 I am not worthy.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure we have all, or at least a lot of us, \u00a0thought, or felt these things in the past.\u00a0 I hear the taunts from the enemy all the time.\u00a0 Once, when we were ministering, a great and respected brother in the Lord joked with me. And I knew he was joking, as I said, I love and respect this brother!\u00a0 He said to me \u201cBrother, you are always here (at church).\u00a0 I replied to him (a staff member) \u201cWell brother, you are here more than I am.\u201d\u00a0 He then said to me \u201cYes, but there is a difference.\u00a0 I am paid to be here and you are not.\u00a0 That means that I am good for something but you are good for nothing!\u201d\u00a0 Oh, I laughed. \u00a0I know this brother would never mean to hurt me.\u00a0 Yet, it did.\u00a0 The enemy took his words and thrust them into my heart and mind.\u00a0 The words \u201cgood for nothing\u201d kept coming back to me.\u00a0 Not so long ago there was somebody that I had, unintentionally had hurt.\u00a0 But hurt I did.\u00a0 In fact, that person wants absolutely nothing to do with me.\u00a0 I am sure it was all my fault.\u00a0 But the enemy uses my mistakes as a weapon against me.\u00a0 He tells me that I have never been anything and will never be anything and if I ever think otherwise it is because I am a dreamer.\u00a0 I will never be great in this world (not important) or in the Spirit.\u00a0 Do what I may, it all amounts to nothing!\u00a0 It is a potent attack, but not a successful one.<\/p>\n The Lord answers the every attack of the enemy through His Word and through the encouragement and guidance of His precious Holy Spirit (John 14:26<\/b>).<\/p>\n Nobody cares what I do.\u00a0 Who do I want to please? Is it mankind or the Lord?\u00a0 It is the Lord whom I seek to please.\u00a0 If I seek to please mankind then they are my master (Galatians 1:10<\/b>).\u00a0 No, the Lord is my master and it is Him whom I seek to please!<\/p>\n I am not needed.\u00a0 I am easily replaced.\u00a0 If I don\u2019t do it, somebody else will.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0It is true that the Lord has an innumerable amount of people who can do the work He has for to me do and who will do it better than I (Luke 19:40, 1 Peter 4:10<\/b>).\u00a0 But what none of these people can do is submit my will to Jesus.\u00a0 None other can do acts of obedience and love to the Lord for me.\u00a0 So, as for my soul that the Lord died for, only I can do what God has called me specifically to do (Ephesians 2:10<\/b>).\u00a0 Praise God!<\/p>\n I am not worthy.\u00a0 No I am not.\u00a0 I never was and I never will be (Romans 3:10<\/b>).\u00a0 That is why Jesus died for me, and for all of us (Luke 19:10<\/b>).\u00a0 The fact that I have failed deeply and often is shameful to me, but to Christ it glories Him (Romans 3:23-24, Psalm 115:1<\/b>).\u00a0 Not that He wanted me to ever fail (1 Peter 2:21-22<\/b>), but the fact that He loves and forgives someone such as me is to His glory.\u00a0 The fact that He has saved me is a witness that His grace has no limits.\u00a0 Since His grace is sufficient for me, it is sufficient for all.<\/p>\n But the enemy uses my mistakes as a weapon against me.\u00a0 Yes, the enemy attacks my conscience.\u00a0 But the Lord is greater than His attacks against me (1 John 3:20<\/b>).\u00a0 The grace of God is greater than all who oppose me (Romans 5:20<\/b>).\u00a0 I listen not to the enemy, or my conscience, concerning my position with God.\u00a0 His Word tells me that it is not me, or what I have done, that determines my position with God (Ephesians 2:8-10<\/b>).\u00a0 It is who He is and what He has done that determines my position.\u00a0 The death and resurrection of Jesus is greater than all my failures.\u00a0 Praise God!<\/p>\n The words \u201cgood for nothing\u201d kept coming back to me.\u00a0 It is true.\u00a0 I really am a good for nothing.\u00a0 That is true, if I speak of myself and my ability to do good or what is right.\u00a0 It is only the Lord within that allows anything good to flow from me.\u00a0 I am miserable (1 Timothy 1:15<\/b>).\u00a0 He is the light (John 8:12<\/b>) and the delight of all who call Him Savior and Lord.\u00a0 Though I am a wretch He has come to live within me and to change me.\u00a0 So that, it is He that lives within me (Galatians 2:20<\/b>).\u00a0 It is He that does good \u201cthings\u201d through me.\u00a0 So, while I am indeed \u201cgood for nothing,\u201d He indeed is good and capable of all.\u00a0 Nothing is impossible for Him and He has chosen to live within me.\u00a0 Yes me!\u00a0 This \u201cgood for nothing\u201d is good for something.\u00a0 I can be a candle bearer (Matthew 5:16<\/b>).\u00a0 I can let the light of God that is within me shine.\u00a0 Oh, I make mistakes, but the light within me is brighter than any darkness within me.\u00a0 The light grow stronger and the darkness is chased away.\u00a0 Me, good for nothing.\u00a0 True.\u00a0 But not to God.\u00a0 He has chosen to love me and remake me (Isaiah 64:8<\/b>).\u00a0 Praise God!<\/p>\n Therefore I don\u2019t tire in doing the works that God has called me to.\u00a0 I don\u2019t tire of letting the Lord shine through me.\u00a0 I am delighted.\u00a0 After all, it is God who is my delight and it is God whom I want to be the delight of.\u00a0 Praise God!\u00a0 Oh Family, thank and praise God that He delights and works through us all!\u00a0 Let us never tire of doing the works of God.\u00a0 They are our joy!\u00a0 Praise God!<\/p>\n Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear\u00a0me.<\/p>\n Micah 6:8<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0He has shown You, O man, what\u00a0is\u00a0good; And what does the\u00a0Lord\u00a0require of You but to do justly, to love mercy, And to walk humbly with Your God.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" 2 Thessalonians 3:13\u00a0–\u00a0And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.
