Psalm 59:16-17<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But I will sing\u00a0of your strength, in the morning\u00a0I will sing of your love;\u00a0for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.\u00a0 17\u00a0You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely.<\/span><\/p>\n

Family, what is your favorite way to wake on a Saturday morning?\u00a0 Or any morning?\u00a0 I am referring to when sleep is disappearing and your first waking thoughts begin to occur.\u00a0 What do you want on your mind?\u00a0 What do you pray your first thought and first words are?\u00a0 I treasure, I love, when I wake as I did this morning.\u00a0 When my first awareness is the presence of God and the first thoughts that enter my head are \u201cGood Morning Lord.\u00a0 I love you Lord.\u201d\u00a0 Oh that\u2019s the best!<\/p>\n

I woke up!\u00a0 Win!\u00a0 Thank you Lord! I woke up in my comfortable bed, and my wife was still sleeping beside me.\u00a0 Win!\u00a0 Thank you Lord!\u00a0 I could hear the dog stirring, he is a good and faithful friend.\u00a0 Win!\u00a0 Thank you Lord!\u00a0 My family is well and we have a grandchild on the way, the Lord is blessing!\u00a0 Win!\u00a0 Thank you Lord!\u00a0 I love all these things that I woke up to, but the best first awareness and the best first thought is the presence of God, and knowing that He was with me all night and He never leaves me.\u00a0 Never ever, not ever, not one moment, not ever ever does He leave me.\u00a0 I wake to what I fell asleep to.\u00a0 I woke to a knowledge, not a sense, but a knowledge of well-being because He who was with me when I fell asleep me greeted me with His presence in the morning.\u00a0 There is nothing better.\u00a0 I woke to love.\u00a0 Oh, I am blessed to have some who love me, but nothing is better than waking to the love of God!\u00a0 I love waking and being aware that my wife\u2019s arm is around me, it\u2019s great!\u00a0 But nothing at all is greater than knowing that I have been sleeping in the presence and protection of God.\u00a0 It is He who has given all my earthly blessings and it He who protects them.<\/p>\n

I love waking up with a first awareness is God is with me and (I know many of you will understand this) I hear my Savior and Lord Jesus say to \u201cGood Morning\u201d to me.\u00a0 I love when my first words, in response to Him, are \u201cI love you Lord.\u201d\u00a0 I love it when that happens.<\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear\u00a0me.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Micah 6:8<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0He has shown You, O man, what\u00a0is\u00a0good; And what does the\u00a0Lord\u00a0require of You but to do justly, to love mercy, And to walk humbly with Your God.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
