Revelation 5:8-14<\/b>\u00a0– 8\u00a0And when he had taken it, the four living creatures\u00a0and the twenty-four elders\u00a0fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp\u00a0and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers\u00a0of God\u2019s people.\u00a09\u00a0And they sang a new song, saying: \u201cYou are worthy\u00a0to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood\u00a0you purchased\u00a0for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10\u00a0You have made them to be a kingdom and priests\u00a0to serve our God, and they will reign\u00a0on the earth.\u201d\u00a0 11\u00a0Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.\u00a0They encircled the throne and the living creatures\u00a0and the elders.\u00a012\u00a0In a loud voice they were saying: \u201cWorthy is the Lamb,\u00a0who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!\u201d\u00a0 13\u00a0Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth\u00a0and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: \u201cTo him who sits on the throne\u00a0and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!\u201d 14\u00a0The four living creatures\u00a0said, \u201cAmen,\u201d\u00a0and the elders\u00a0fell down and worshiped.<\/span><\/div>\n

\u00a0\u201cThen I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.\u00a0They encircled the throne and the living creatures\u00a0and the elders.\u00a0 12\u00a0In a loud voice they were saying: \u201cWorthy is the Lamb,\u00a0who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!<\/span>\u201d\u00a0 Not after, but during the worship of the four living creatures and the twenty four elders, John\u2019s attention shifted to another host of worshippers, angels.\u00a0 When John writes \u201cnumbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand<\/span>\u201d it is not to give us an exact number.\u00a0 He is saying there was a huge amount, too big to count.<\/p>\n

Notice that this innumerable amount of angels were singing \u201cIn a loud voice.\u201d \u00a0It does not say they were lifting up their voices, but that they sang with a single voice.\u00a0 They were all united in the purpose and voice of their song, they all were praising the Lamb of God.\u00a0 As with the four living creatures, twenty-four elders, and the host of angels, all who love God, when our eyes are upon God, are overwhelmed and want to worship and praise Him. And that is where our eyes belong.\u00a0 That is where our spiritual eyes belong, focused on God.\u00a0 That is where our spiritual ears must be attuned to, our God.\u00a0 When we see and hear God, we, who love God, are absolutely moved to praise Him.\u00a0 Keeping this in mind, let\u2019s add depth by looking again at\u00a0Isaiah 42:8<\/b>\u00a0\u201cI\u00a0am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.<\/span>\u201d\u00a0 We often see in scripture that God will not share His glory with another or His praise to idols.\u00a0 Everything in the Word of God flows smoothly from one subject to another.\u00a0 It all is a single message with a single purpose. So tying these two verses together to find that singleness of message, as we stay in the presence of God we will, like the heavenly hosts in the throne room, have praise burst from our overwhelmed hearts.\u00a0 Our love for God and amazement of Him bursts from us and new songs of praise continuously flow from us to God.\u00a0 It is when we are in His presence with our focus on God, that this joy and praise flows from us.\u00a0 We know that is where we are called to live.\u00a0 It is simple: Focus on God, be in His presence, and praise flows.\u00a0 This happens for all who love God and whom He calls His own. Family, if we are in the presence of God, whether corporally or individually, and praise does not flow, something is very wrong. \u00a0The questions must arise whether we are in His presence and also do really love God.\u00a0 Since it is so that to be in His presence is to love, praise and glorify Him, then this verse from Isaiah is a call to be in the presence of God and our focus be on Him.\u00a0 Family, we know the Lord really does take His wisdom that is beyond us and explain it to us in the simplest of forms.\u00a0 He does that because the reason He gave us the Word of God was to reveal Himself and continually draw and keep us close to Him.\u00a0 He does that for our benefit, not His.\u00a0 So how do we avoid misappropriating the glory and praise of God to another, or a dead idol?\u00a0 We stay in His presence.\u00a0 If our eyes are on anyone or anything but Him, then we be awed by another. \u00a0Job said in\u00a0V 31:1<\/b>\u00a0about his eyes \u201cI made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman<\/span>,\u201d\u00a0 If he stared, then evil stands ready to pounce.\u00a0 So it is to focus on the world rather than God. \u00a0So we must keep our eyes on Him, we must stay in His presence!\u00a0 If we truly worship God, stay focused on Him and keep our eyes and hearts focused on Him, then our songs will never ascribe the glory and praise that belongs to God to another.\u00a0 As we learn from the praise of the angels, so we keep the word of God in Isaiah.<\/p>\n

The praise of God originates from His very being.\u00a0 Who He is, when gazed upon by those whose eyes have been opened, produces the byproduct of a heart that loves God and automatically praises Him.\u00a0 Therefore, we must stay in His presence, then we will praise God, only God, and not attempt to rob Him of the praise and glory that belongs solely to Him.\u00a0 Praise our God who is worthy of praise!\u00a0 Let us remind ourselves in thought and song, that Jesus is the Lamb of God and the unique one to save us all.\u00a0 What joy and hope flows from looking to Him and to finally be in His home, living with Him, forever and ever.\u00a0 Oh to see God face to face. How frightening!\u00a0 How powerful!\u00a0 How wonderful!\u00a0 Wonderful is our God!\u00a0 Praise God!<\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0– But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear\u00a0me.<\/span><\/p>\n
