Oh my God, My Lord, I cry out to You,

I lament Lord my inability to serve You,

I detest my propensity to sin,

To sin before you my Lord and God.

How can I say I love You and then willingly sin?

Love is something I should know all about,

For you Lord have given the complete example.

You Almighty God have loved me with a love that is

So complete, so exhaustive, so tender, so fulfilling,

So peaceful, so joyful, so providing, so redemptive,

So continuous, persistent and eternal, that I should know,

Yes, I should know, how to love.

Yet Lord, I fall short.

This child has not inherited the beauty of his Father.

For You are Magnificent and nothing and no-one compares,

With You Almighty God.

You are the first light of day and the light in darkness,

We may navigate our life by Your light.

Your are the one who warms during the day,

And cools us in the evening.

Almighty God, You are the One who satisfies our hunger.

Our thirst is satisfied by Your Living Water.

Complete are You, In You nothing lacks,

Kindness flows from Your mighty throne,

Judgement is declared from Your throne,

Yet You have taken away our fear to approach You.

So how is it Lord, that I do not love You as I should?

How is it that I can be willingly disobedient?

For I hear Your voice and do not stop at Your Stop signs.

I hear Your voice and proceed in my own will and,

It horrifies me that I do.

Fallen before You I cry out, oh Mighty God,

To my Father, my Savior, my Teacher,

I call out to you and I ask that You make me like You,

Now I listen and await Your instruction.

Place Your mighty hand upon me and mold me to please You.

Only as I please You am I in peace and joy.

Praise you God. Praise You always.
