Psalm 84:1-2, 10,12<\/strong> – How lovely is Your dwelling place, Lord\u00a0Almighty!\u00a0 2\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>My soul yearns,\u00a0even faints, for the courts of the\u00a0Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.\u00a0 10\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper\u00a0in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.\u00a0 12\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Lord\u00a0Almighty, blessed\u00a0is the one who trusts in You.<\/span><\/p>\n

Secret Place<\/strong><\/p>\n

In our secret place, Oh Lord.<\/p>\n

In our secret place, I am with You.<\/p>\n

I walk through the house of my life,<\/p>\n

Not stopping or being detoured,<\/p>\n

I must go to the room of comfort,<\/p>\n

The room where You are.<\/p>\n

As I walk through the house,<\/p>\n

I see the pictures on the wall,<\/p>\n

Also, trophies on the shelf,<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t pause to reminisce.<\/p>\n

I have only one goal,<\/p>\n

My eyes, dear Lord, look to our room.<\/p>\n

With the hordes pursuing, I am not rushing.<\/p>\n

Though they are faster and stronger,<\/p>\n

They cannot get to me; your palm prevents them.<\/p>\n

I hear them yelling threats at me,<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will catch You, we shall shred You!\u201d<\/p>\n

I will not turn to look, their threats are\u2026<\/p>\n

Empty!<\/p>\n

Of course I hear their threats, still, my spirit is calm,<\/p>\n

I know that You, Oh Lord, are greater.<\/p>\n

I am not afraid, for I belong to You.<\/p>\n

The enemies are stronger and bigger than me,<\/p>\n

My arms are not strong enough to defeat them,<\/p>\n

Swifter are their feet than mine,<\/p>\n

Still, I am safe,<\/p>\n

My heart and soul are calm,<\/p>\n

And in peace.<\/p>\n

Knowledge of You is what I hold onto,<\/p>\n

Surely, I know who You Are,<\/p>\n

I know Your mighty deeds,<\/p>\n

In the knowledge of You,<\/p>\n

Comes a calming whisper,<\/p>\n

A soft hush to my spirit,<\/p>\n

I breathe in Your presence,<\/p>\n

In our private room.<\/p>\n

You are always here with me,<\/p>\n

There, also, you are always there,<\/p>\n

With me.<\/p>\n

Here,<\/p>\n

In our secret place, Oh Lord.<\/p>\n

In our secret place, I am with You.<\/p>\n

Safe, at rest, my smile finds its origin,<\/p>\n

In Your smile.<\/p>\n

All I want, All I need,<\/p>\n

Is You!<\/p>\n

In our Secret place, Oh Lord.<\/p>\n

In our Secret place, I am with You.<\/p>\n
