Psalm 51:10-12 – 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Oh Lord my God renew me today,

Every day my soul wakes thirsty for You!

As You awaken my mind to truths,

I learn more of my utter dependence on You!

Nothing of everything that makes me secure,

Is of me, it is all from You, it is all of You!

It is Your love that wakes me singing,

Your love oh God is what I need, what I need!

I am a desert coyote in search of water,

Without Your Holy Presence, I perish!

Before I was a fool who trusted in myself,

Knowing more now I know how l know not!

With no confidence in self, I cry, yes I cry out,

To You my Savior, my Master, my Lord!

Father God I need Your approval and love,

Without Your love every moment, I perish!

Lord Jesus, my Savior, I reach into empty air,

You grasp my hand and say “I AM here!”

“Yes child, I AM here, always I AM here!

Precious is Your Holy Spirit feeding me Your Word,

Daily feeding me that I not faint by day’s end!

Every morning I wake aware of the raging war,

Every morning I know I survive only in Your shadow!

I see Your robe of pure righteousness upon me,

It is a reminder that I know You because You knew me!

Please Lord make me new, and better today,

That I might be pleasant in Your sight!

Thank You Lord, thank You Lord, thank You Lord,

I am never cast away, always You are with me!

Water and food are You God Almighty,

Your blood is life and Your flesh is sustenance!

Everyday I awake and You Almighty God are with me,

I must have Your Presence with me, it is all I need!

Empty is joy without You, with You is fullness of joy,

Your joy with me the fires don’t burn, the waters part!

I am safe only because You have saved me,

Eternally with You, safe in You, is why I rejoice!

Moment by moment Your Spirit sings to me,

So sweet, so sweet, I am restored!

Lord I cry out to You knowing You have heard me,

From eternity past and always, You have heard me!

Joy is upon me because I am in Your shadow,

May my “Shadowlands” be Your shadow upon me!

Your kindness is with me at my every breath,

At night it calms me, come morning Your smile awaits!

I rejoice with You, I hold up my hands to You,

I shout to the world “God is with me, I am safe and happy!”

Praise You God, You are the only life I know and,

I want no other, You alone are my Peace and my Joy!

Praise God! Praise God! Praise God!

God with me, thank you Lord!

Praise the name of the Lord!
