John 9:35-41\u00a0<\/b>–\u00a0Jesus heard that they had\u00a0put him out, and upon finding him, He said,\u00a0\u201cDo you believe in the\u00a0Son of Man?\u201d\u00a036\u00a0He answered\u00a0by saying, \u201cAnd\u00a0who is He,\u00a0Sir, that I may believe in Him?\u201d\u00a037\u00a0Jesus said to him,\u00a0\u201cYou have both seen Him, and\u00a0He is the one who is talking with you.\u201d\u00a038\u00a0And he said, \u201cI believe, Lord.\u201d And he\u00a0worshiped Him.\u00a039\u00a0And Jesus said,\u00a0\u201cFor judgment I came into this world, so that\u00a0those who do not see may see, and\u00a0those who see may become blind.\u201d\u00a040\u00a0Those who were with Him from the Pharisees heard these things and said to Him, \u201cWe are not blind too, are we?\u201d\u00a041\u00a0Jesus said to them,\u00a0\u201cIf you were blind, you would have no sin; but now\u00a0that\u00a0you maintain, \u2018We see,\u2019 your sin remains.<\/i><\/p>\n
\u201cJesus heard that they had\u00a0put him out, and upon finding him, He said,\u00a0\u201cDo you believe in the\u00a0Son of Man?\u201d\u00a036\u00a0He answered\u00a0by saying, \u201cAnd\u00a0who is He,\u00a0Sir, that I may believe in Him?\u201d<\/i>\u00a0\u00a0Genesis 3:7-9<\/b>\u00a0\u201cThen the eyes of both of them were opened, and they\u00a0knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves waist coverings.<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n 8\u00a0Now they heard the sound of\u00a0the\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Lord<\/i><\/span>\u00a0God walking in the garden in the\u00a0cool of the day,\u00a0and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Lord<\/i><\/span>\u00a0God among the trees of the garden.<\/i><\/span>\u00a09\u00a0Then the\u00a0<\/span>Lord<\/span>\u00a0God called to the man, and said to him, \u201cWhere are you?\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0Jesus, upon finding out that the man had been excommunicated by the Jewish authorities searched for the man and found him.\u00a0\u00a0And Family and Friends that is how it always is.\u00a0\u00a0It is not us who seeks Jesus but Jesus who seeks us.\u00a0\u00a0When Adam and Eve sinned the Lord sought them out so that He could minister to them.\u00a0\u00a0When Jonah was angry with God and went some place to be alone, it is the Lord who went to him.\u00a0\u00a0It is the Lord who went to cave and to comfort Elijah. (1 Kings 19:9<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Jesus said that we did not choose Him but rather He chose us. (John 15:16<\/b>,\u00a0Ephesians 1:4<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0For this man who was cured of congenital blindness, it was Jesus who chose to heal him.\u00a0\u00a0It was Jesus who after the man was excommunicated sought out the man to complete the miraculous for the man.\u00a0\u00a0The beginning of the miraculous was healing his physical eyes, but the second and greatest part of the man\u2019s healings was to open his spiritual sight so that the man would believe in Jesus.\u00a0\u00a0And that is what Jesus has done for us.\u00a0\u00a0He opened our eyes and saved us.\u00a0\u00a0Oh thank you Jesus!<\/p>\n \u201cJesus said to him,\u00a0\u201cYou have both seen Him, and\u00a0He is the one who is talking with you.\u201d\u00a038\u00a0And he said, \u201cI believe, Lord.\u201d And he\u00a0worshiped Him.<\/i>\u201d\u00a0\u00a0The man wanted to see the Son of Man that He may believe in Him.\u00a0\u00a0So Jesus told him that he had seen the Him and was now looking at the Son of Man.\u00a0\u00a0The man immediately believed in Jesus and worshipped Him.\u00a0\u00a0Likely the man fell to His knees to acknowledge His newly discovered Savior.\u00a0\u00a0And dear Brothers and Sisters, that is what we must do every day.\u00a0\u00a0We should wake and start our day by giving the praise of thanksgiving to Him.\u00a0\u00a0Let us consider what He has done for us.\u00a0\u00a0In considering all He has done for us, let us consider what all He has done for us reveals to us about Him.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus is the Son of God, the Lamb of God, who saves us from the sin nature we all inherited at birth. (Psalm 51:5<\/b>) The greatest miracle that Jesus did for the man was to save his soul, just as the greatest miracle for us was to save our souls.\u00a0\u00a0Why?\u00a0\u00a0Because He loves us \u201cFor God so loved the world\u2026<\/i>\u201d\u00a0\u00a0He loves us.\u00a0\u00a0He knows everything about us and still He loves us.\u00a0\u00a0It was so for the healed man just as it is for us.\u00a0\u00a0He indeed is good and He indeed loves us.\u00a0\u00a0Hallelujah!<\/p>\n \u201cAnd Jesus said,\u00a0\u201cFor judgment I came into this world, so that\u00a0those who do not see may see, and\u00a0those who see may become blind. 40\u00a0Those who were with Him from the Pharisees heard these things and said to Him, \u201cWe are not blind too, are we?\u201d\u00a041\u00a0Jesus said to them,\u00a0\u201cIf you were blind, you would have no sin; but now\u00a0that\u00a0you maintain, \u2018We see,\u2019 your sin remains.\u201d\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0Now this verse does not contradict\u00a0John 3:17<\/b>.\u00a0\u00a0For those who live in the dark might not ever realize that they live in darkness until light shines into their world.\u00a0\u00a0When someone comes to the Lord wherever they go and whoever they are with, the unbelieving will feel judged by them even though no judgmental word was ever mentioned.\u00a0\u00a0The righteousness of God that lives within those who love Jesus shines outward to the world and the unredeemed are convicted of their sins, whether they acknowledge it or not, because Jesus within shines without.\u00a0\u00a0We let our light shine so that the Light within us will be glorified.
