Psalm 23<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0The\u00a0Lord\u00a0is my shepherd,\u00a0I lack nothing.\u00a0\u00a02\u00a0He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.\u00a0\u00a0He guides me\u00a0along the right paths for His name\u2019s sake.\u00a0\u00a0Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5\u00a0You prepare a table\u00a0before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup\u00a0overflows.\u00a0\u00a06\u00a0Surely Your goodness and love\u00a0will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0forever<\/i><\/p>\n

At these times the wound in Jenny\u2019s heart was again opened and she bled tears of sadness.\u00a0\u00a0She tried to keep in mind that if the Lord brought her husband James home at such an early age, it must have been for the best.\u00a0\u00a0Jenny knows that, without a doubt.\u00a0\u00a0The Lord knows what is best and she truly trusts God to have done what was best for James.\u00a0\u00a0She is also convinced that the Lord will watch over and care for her and her three children.\u00a0\u00a0Still, sometimes she cries at the ache of missing James.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cJesus,\u201d she says at such times, \u201cunderstands that I miss James.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Her frequent prayer of remembrance and gratitude to the Lord is \u201cJesus thank you for lovingly caring for me and my children at all times.\u00a0\u00a0Though James was taken away, Your care never is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenny did not have an \u201coutside job\u201d after they began to be blessed with their children.\u00a0\u00a0They thanked God that James provided enough income that she could stay home.\u00a0\u00a0She sometimes would weep to the Lord lamenting that all mothers did not have the blessing of staying home full time to raise their children.\u00a0\u00a0Her and James had to be on a tight budget, but she was grateful she could stay home with her three children.<\/p>\n

Sighing, Jenny grabbed her lunch as she was about to head out to the \u201coutside work\u201d that the Lord now uses to provide for her family.\u00a0\u00a0She reminisced over the days when James was with her and how she would kiss and hug him every day at the door when he left for work.\u00a0\u00a0He would hug and kiss her and tell her how much he thanks the Lord for blessing him with her.\u00a0\u00a0Sweet days, tender memories that are briefly remembered as she heads toward the door to leave.<\/p>\n

Looking at her children, Junior James, Billy, and sweet little Emma, she is thankful that they were old enough that they have sweet memories of their father.\u00a0\u00a0Also that Junior James, now fifteen, was old enough to watch over his siblings as they were on their Christmas break.\u00a0\u00a0She thanked God that Junior James was loving, responsible and patient toward his brother and sister.\u00a0\u00a0Not having to pay for a babysitter saved her money that helped keep their ship afloat. Her children reached the door at same time she did.\u00a0\u00a0As she had so often lovingly sent James off to work, her children now did so for her.\u00a0\u00a0Yes, one blessing was taken home, but three remain with her.<\/div>\n
\u201cJunior James\u201d Jenny said to her eldest.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cTake care of your brother and sister.\u00a0\u00a0Be loving and kind to them.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cAw mom\u201d he responded, \u201cYou know I will.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cI know dear, she said, \u201cbut it\u2019s a mom\u2019s job to remind you to do good.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cBilly and Emma, mind your brother.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cMom do we have to?\u201d Joked Emma.<\/div>\n
\u201cYes silly you have to!\u201d Jenny said through a smile.<\/div>\n
\u201cBeloved, let us…\u201d<\/div>\n
“Love one another. For everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” Her children replied with smiles.<\/div>\n
They responded \u201cYeah mom, we know.\u201dJenny left for work and as she did she thanked the Lord for the blessings that were greater than the pain.<\/div>\n
