John 7:25-31\u00a0<\/b>–\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/b><\/span>\u00a0<\/sup><\/b><\/span>So some of the people of Jerusalem were saying, \u201cIs this man not the one whom they are seeking to kill?\u00a026\u00a0And\u00a0yet\u00a0look, He is speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to Him.\u00a0The rulers do not really know that this is the\u00a0Christ, do they?\u00a027\u00a0However,\u00a0we know where this man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from.\u201d\u00a028\u00a0Then Jesus cried out in the temple,\u00a0teaching and saying,\u00a0\u201cYou both know Me and you know where I am from; and\u00a0I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.\u00a029\u00a0I do know Him, because\u00a0I am from Him, and\u00a0He sent Me.\u201d\u00a030\u00a0So they\u00a0were seeking to arrest Him; and\u00a0yet\u00a0no one laid a hand on Him, because His\u00a0hour had not yet come.\u00a031\u00a0But\u00a0many of the crowd believed in Him; and they were saying, \u201cWhen the\u00a0Christ comes, He will not perform more\u00a0signs than those which this man has done, will He?\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cSo some of the people of Jerusalem were saying, \u201cIs this man not the one whom they are seeking to kill?\u00a026\u00a0And\u00a0yet\u00a0look, He is speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to Him.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0Not every all of the crowd knew the evil intentions of the Jewish authorities, but many did.\u00a0\u00a0However that they were out to get Him was well known.\u00a0\u00a0They spoke disparagingly of Him.\u00a0\u00a0So their inaction against Him as He taught in the temple and grew crowds and admirers was strange.\u00a0\u00a0Since they said they would arrest Him and maybe kill Him, why didn\u2019t they do that while He was teaching?\u00a0\u00a0The answer is simple, it was not Jesus\u2019s time.\u00a0\u00a0They could not touch Him because God had a plan that Jesus could not be harmed until His appointed time.\u00a0\u00a0His life was live according to the plan of God.\u00a0\u00a0It is the same for us.\u00a0\u00a0People can make threats and rant and rave against us but when as we walk in the will of God, no-one else, outside of the will of God can harm us.\u00a0\u00a0God has a plan for us, to prosper us and not let disaster come upon, a plan that, because the Lord proclaims it, we can confidently walk in hope to and through our future under His protection.\u00a0\u00a0(Jeremiah 29:11<\/b>) Walk in God\u2019s will for us and we are safe.\u00a0\u00a0We walk in His love and nothing can separate us from it. (Romans 8:37-39, Psalm 91:7-10<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Be confident, be brave, it is God who is with us.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever,\u00a0we know where this man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from.\u00a0\u00a0Then Jesus cried out in the temple,\u00a0teaching and saying,\u00a0\u201cYou both know Me and you know where I am from; and\u00a0I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0\u00a0Many people confidently and persuasively tout what they claim they know about the Word and the Lord God, but they don\u2019t know what they think they know.\u00a0\u00a0They thought they knew all about where Jesus was from.\u00a0\u00a0Yes, they saw Him grow up, but they didn\u2019t know that God was His Father and they didn\u2019t know that before He came to earth His home was in Heaven beside the Father.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A person\u2019s confident declarations can be a deception to lead people astray.\u00a0\u00a0Don\u2019t believe affectations, instead believe the Word and the Spirit. Jesus came from the Father\u2019s side. (Philippians 2:6-7<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0He has returned to it. (John 16:28<\/b>)<\/p>\n

\u201cI do know Him, because\u00a0I am from Him, and\u00a0He sent Me.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0\u00a0He who does not believe in the Son does not know the Father.\u00a0\u00a0They will not understand where Jesus came from and where He was returning to.\u00a0\u00a0But in faith we believe and yearn for the day to join with Him forever.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo they\u00a0were seeking to arrest Him; and\u00a0yet\u00a0no one laid a hand on Him, because His\u00a0hour had not yet come.<\/i>\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Again we see that though, in the nature of things, Jewish authorities and had the power and will to arrest Jesus, because Jesus was in the will of the Father, they could not.\u00a0\u00a0This was not a natural thing, it was a supernatural occurrence.\u00a0\u00a0Praise God!<\/p>\n

\u201cBut\u00a0many of the crowd believed in Him; and they were saying, \u201cWhen the\u00a0Christ comes, He will not perform more\u00a0signs than those which this man has done, will He?\u201d\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0The Jews call out for a sign, and many are performed, but they did not believe because their hearts were hard. (1 Corinthians 1:11, Acts 28:27<\/b>)<\/p>\n

There no knife, sword, bullet or illness that can prevent God from loving us.\u00a0\u00a0As we walk in the Spirit nothing can harm us without God allowing it.\u00a0\u00a0What God allows, whatever it is, should be what we want.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Could it hurt?\u00a0\u00a0Yes.\u00a0\u00a0Could it kill?\u00a0\u00a0Possibly. (Hebrews 11<\/b>) Yet, as we ponder our love for our God, as we shout our praises to Him, do we trust the will of God?\u00a0\u00a0If we suffer or die and it brings glory to God, would we tell Him \u201cno Lord?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0No, God forbid!\u00a0\u00a0May God be glorified in all ways and through all things.\u00a0\u00a0And He will keep us safe until we go home.\u00a0\u00a0Till then, we are bulletproof.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Whatever is our future, we praise God who loves us.\u00a0\u00a0His ways are above our ways. (Isaiah 55:9<\/b>) Praise God!<\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/i><\/p>\n

Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will Hear\u00a0me.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Micah 6:8<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0He has\u00a0shown you, Oh man, what\u00a0is\u00a0good; and what does the\u00a0Lord\u00a0require of you, but\u00a0to do justly, to love\u00a0mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.<\/i><\/p>\n
