The Enigma<\/b><\/p>\n
It\u2019s so dark.<\/p>\n
My eyes are straining for a vapor of light.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Nothing that would provide clear visibility,<\/p>\n
Just a modicum of light that my eyes could see,<\/p>\n
\u00a0So that I would know I\u2019m not blind.<\/p>\n
This darkness is a suffocating animated blanket of air,<\/p>\n
That holds innumerable nightmares and uncounted imaginings.<\/p>\n
It whispers uncertainties in your ear and shouts them at your face.<\/p>\n
While my mind fights the taunts,<\/p>\n
My body fights the imaginings.<\/p>\n
There are no threats, no voices.<\/p>\n
There is nothing crawling on my skin,<\/p>\n
Nothing biting the back of my legs,<\/p>\n
Nothing next to me.<\/p>\n
Nothing, no-one.<\/p>\n
Animated darkness, it is a perpetual, constant anxiety.<\/p>\n
It is pain from nowhere, from nothing.<\/p>\n
It is an empty pain which disables the mind to fool the body.<\/p>\n
I am alone, really alone.<\/p>\n
No-one, not a friend or a lover to comfort me.<\/p>\n
Not even an enemy to feel comfort in the hate.<\/p>\n
An emptiness in the spirit,<\/p>\n
a realization of no hope.<\/p>\n
Complete despair.<\/p>\n
No sanity, no rest.<\/p>\n
Nothing, no-one,<\/p>\n
Not even God.<\/p>\n
Nothing no-one,<\/p>\n
Not God,<\/p>\n
Not even myself.<\/p>\n
Just darkness which eats through the skin like fire.<\/p>\n
Not physical, but spiritual.<\/p>\n
A darkness which allows for no recovery or refuge.<\/p>\n
You can\u2019t close your eyes to escape it,<\/p>\n
It\u2019s there,<\/p>\n
Always there.<\/p>\n
There you are,<\/p>\n
There you stay.<\/p>\n
No change will come.<\/p>\n
You and darkness are one.<\/p>\n
There is no distinguishing between it and you.<\/p>\n
You have no identity.<\/p>\n
You just exist.<\/p>\n
You can know nothing with certainty,<\/p>\n
Yet fear everything.<\/p>\n
No rest, no protection.<\/p>\n
There is only one thought which recurs to haunt you.<\/p>\n
One thought of sanity and forever an enigma.<\/p>\n
