John 1:3-5\u00a0<\/b>–\u00a0Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.\u00a04\u00a0In Him was life,\u00a0and that life was the light\u00a0of all mankind.\u00a05\u00a0The light shines in the darkness,\u00a0and the darkness has not overcome\u00a0it.<\/i><\/p>\n
Colossians 1:16-17<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0For in him all things were created:\u00a0things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;\u00a0all things have been created through him and for him.\u00a017\u00a0He is before all things,\u00a0and in him all things hold together.<\/i><\/p>\n
Genesis 1:1-2<\/b>\u00a0– In the beginning\u00a0God created\u00a0the heavens\u00a0and the earth.\u00a02\u00a0Now the earth was formless\u00a0and empty,\u00a0darkness was over the surface of the deep,\u00a0and the Spirit of God\u00a0was hovering\u00a0over the waters.<\/i><\/p>\n
The Gospel according to John is written to show that Jesus was equally God and equally man.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus was fully God and fully man.\u00a0\u00a0Since God always existed.\u00a0\u00a0When the Word says that Jesus existed \u201cin the beginning,\u201d and that He was with God, and was God, the statements are clear.\u00a0\u00a0In the eternity past to the eternity future Jesus was part of the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus has always been God and forever will be God.\u00a0\u00a0The Apostle John\u2019s intent was to show that Jesus, the Word of God, is God, the one God, the Three in One and the One in Three God.\u00a0\u00a0They are three and an invisible one.<\/p>\n
In\u00a0Vs 3-5<\/b>\u00a0the Apostle John continues to reveal qualities of Jesus that only belong to God and works that only God has done.\u00a0\u00a0As told in\u00a0Genesis 1<\/b>\u00a0God created all of creation.\u00a0\u00a0Here it is stated that all of creation was made through Him.\u00a0\u00a0God made all things out of nothing.\u00a0\u00a0That defies the understanding of man because mankind cannot understand how something can be made from nothing.\u00a0\u00a0To man that seems impossible, but for God nothing is impossible. (Matthew 19:26<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Even the smallest of anything has its beginning with God and God did all this starting from nothing.\u00a0\u00a0He created all according to His purpose.\u00a0\u00a0Whether it be the smallest living organism or the mightiest sun, all of creation has purpose that is ordained by God. (Job 42:2<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0God knew when He created the dust of the earth that He would use the dust to create mankind.\u00a0\u00a0So God formed all parts of a man but it was not living, it was ready to live.\u00a0\u00a0But until the Lord breathed the Holy Spirit into the man it was inanimate.\u00a0\u00a0According to His plan He made the form of mankind and then according to His plan He breathed life into this preformed creation and called Him Adam.\u00a0\u00a0The meaning of \u201cAdam\u201d is \u201cman\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus was the instrument of God to speak man, and all the universe, into creation.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus formed man and spoke life into Him.\u00a0\u00a0When God spoke, Jesus was the one speaking.\u00a0\u00a0(But of course the three are united in will, thought and deed and so we know that what one intends and does all three precisely agree).<\/p>\n
Jesus is the light of the world.\u00a0\u00a0(John 8:12<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Those who walk with Him will not walk in the darkness of the world, but instead will walk illuminated paths of God\u2019s way.\u00a0\u00a0(Psalm 119:105<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>The world is full of darkness and evil.\u00a0\u00a0To walk in the light of God\u2019s way is to not stumble and walk in darkness, but to walk a well-lit road that God has called us to.\u00a0\u00a0The well-lit road is the Truth that is Jesus, it is the way that all men must walk to be spiritually alive.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.\u00a0\u00a0(John 14:6<\/b>)<\/p>\n
Jesus came to give us eternal life. He is the Light of the world that leads us from darkness to light.\u00a0\u00a0He is the Life, the only Way to receive true eternal live.\u00a0\u00a0We follow Jesus because He is the only way to walk eternally with God.\u00a0\u00a0In Him is our peace.<\/p>\n
Evil tried to overcome the Lord.\u00a0\u00a0It tempted Him and tried to dissuade us from fulfilling His commitment to save us.\u00a0\u00a0But it could not.\u00a0\u00a0If all of evil could not keep Him from overcoming, then certainly no person can.\u00a0\u00a0Light in a room chases the darkness away.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus in our hearts cleanses us from evil and chases away the darkness of the world.\u00a0\u00a0Only Jesus could, and can, do that.\u00a0\u00a0He gives victory to us.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Only through Jesus can eternal life be had.\u00a0\u00a0Seek out Jesus and then cling tightly to Him.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus is the treasure of the world.<\/p>\n
Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n
Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will Hear\u00a0me.<\/p>\n
Micah 6:8<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0He has\u00a0shown you, Oh man, what\u00a0is\u00a0good; and what does the\u00a0Lord\u00a0require of you, but\u00a0to do justly, to love\u00a0mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.<\/p>\n
