It is well said that a wise person may make a mistake but will learn from it and not repeat it.\u00a0\u00a0A fool falls into the same trap over and over again.<\/p>\n
Wiser than the person who learns from their own mistakes is the person who sees the mistakes of another and learns.\u00a0\u00a0That person avoids making the same mistake and so avoids the penalty of the mistake.\u00a0\u00a0But the person who, having seen the penalty of the foolish who repeat their mistakes, then does likewise, is even more foolish than the first.<\/p>\n
The boy who learns to not stick his tongue on a frozen pole is wise if he does not repeat it.\u00a0\u00a0Yet, it is better to be the boy who sees the folly and has learned from the mistake of the other.\u00a0\u00a0That boy will save himself pain and embarrassment.<\/p>\n
Do not watch the ruin of people who reject God and then repeat what they have done.\u00a0\u00a0Regardless of who those people are keep in mind that greater is God who has declared \u201cFor the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal in Christ Jesus our Lord.<\/i>\u201d (Romans 6:23<\/b>) Sin brings eternal death and loving God through Jesus Christ brings eternal life and in that, love, peace and joy.\u00a0Galatians 5:22-23<\/b>\u00a0\u201cBut\u00a0the fruit of the Spirit is\u00a0love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,\u00a023\u00a0gentleness,\u00a0self-control; against such things\u00a0there is no law.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n
I have seen a son, who knew better and had done better who after his father died, suddenly started doing the folly of his father.\u00a0\u00a0Then the blessings that the son had were burned away.\u00a0\u00a0The son became as foolish as his father and his life is in eternal peril, as was his father\u2019s.\u00a0\u00a0To honor a deceased relative is not to repeat their mistakes.\u00a0\u00a0No one who loves another wants that person to repeat their mistakes and likewise suffer.\u00a0\u00a0No one in hell wants a loved one to join them. (Luke 16:19-31<\/b>)<\/p>\n
It is better to obey God.\u00a0\u00a0Eternally better!\u00a0\u00a0Deuteronomy 28:6<\/b>\u00a0\u201cBlessed will you be when you come in, and blessed will you be when you go out<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n
