Proverbs 27:17<\/b>\u00a0\u201cAs iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.<\/i>\u201d<\/div>\n

Scripture tells us to seek wise counsel.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 13:20<\/b>\u00a0\u201cWhoever walk with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n

But not all counsel is wise to receive.\u00a0\u00a0The wisdom of the world concerning spiritual things is like a poison that tastes sweet but will kill. The world has many deceptive arguments.\u00a0Colossians 2:4<\/b>\u00a0\u201cI say this so that no one will delude you with\u00a0persuasive argument.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0\u00a0Something may seem to be wise and so some may call it good, but if the person who said it does not glorify God, beware.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 3:19-20<\/b>\u00a0\u201cFor the wisdom of this world is foolishness\u00a0in God\u2019s sight. As it is written: \u201cHe catches the wise in their craftiness\u201d,\u00a020\u00a0and again, \u201cThe Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0So things of the Spirit, of morality and of philosophy belong to those who know and serve the Lord.<\/p>\n

Remember that the most effective lies are couched in truth.\u00a0\u00a0So a worldly person may tell a truth, but that does not mean that all they say is truth?\u00a0\u00a0Avoid nice sayings that don\u2019t glorify God.\u00a0\u00a0Didn\u2019t the devil tempt Eve with a seductive offer but end of what He said led to death?\u00a0\u00a0All the wisdom needed in this life is found in the Scriptures given to us by the Lord God Almighty.\u00a0\u00a0(2 Peter 1:3<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Avoid all teachings that don\u2019t glorify God. (1 Corinthians 10:31<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0For example we may see a meme that states something like \u201cPeace rules, spread it generously.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0And while we all want peace on earth we know that the peace of God and the peace of the world are not the same (John 14:27<\/b>).\u00a0\u00a0A guru may preach love and peace but his teaching ultimately leads to hell.\u00a0\u00a0(Proverbs 16:25<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Any teaching, any religion, and any philosophy that teaches anything that seems good, but does not point to Jesus is a tool of the enemy.\u00a0\u00a0(Galatians 1:10<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0It entices people to follow a way that leads to death.\u00a0\u00a0The enemy does not care what a person believes in, as long as it is not Jesus.\u00a0\u00a0Because only Jesus saves.\u00a0\u00a0(1 John 5:12<\/b>)<\/p>\n

Brothers and Sisters, love and counsel each other.\u00a0\u00a0That pleases the Lord.\u00a0\u00a0Seek spiritual counsel from those who walk in the Spirit and know the Word of God.\u00a0\u00a0Care not for the counsel of the ungodly, but rather seek the counsel of the Lord from His Word and from those who love and serve Him.\u00a0\u00a0Beware sayings of the world, a venomous snake may not bite the first time, but only a fool keeps close association.\u00a0\u00a0Seek God. (Deuteronomy 4:29<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Only the wisdom of God keeps us safe and that He generously will give it to those who seek Him for it.\u00a0\u00a0(James 1:5<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0He is good like that.\u00a0\u00a0Praise God!<\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n

Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will Hear\u00a0me.<\/p>\n

Micah 6:8<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0He has\u00a0shown you, Oh man, what\u00a0is\u00a0good; and what does the\u00a0Lord\u00a0require of you, but\u00a0to do justly, to love\u00a0mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.<\/p>\n
