Psalm 137<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0By the rivers of Babylon\u00a0we sat and wept when we remembered Zion.\u00a0\u00a02\u00a0There on the poplars we hung our harps, 3\u00a0for there our captors\u00a0asked us for songs, our tormentors demanded\u00a0songs of joy; they said, \u201cSing us one of the songs of Zion!\u201d 4\u00a0How can we sing the songs of the\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Lord w<\/i><\/span>hile in a foreign land?\u00a0\u00a05\u00a0If I forget you,\u00a0Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill.\u00a0\u00a06\u00a0May my tongue cling to the roof\u00a0of my mouth if I do not remember\u00a0you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy.\u00a0\u00a07\u00a0Remember,\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Lord<\/i><\/span>, what the Edomites\u00a0did on the day Jerusalem fell.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cTear it down,\u201d they cried, \u201ctear it down to its foundations!\u201d 8\u00a0Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is the one who repays you according to what you have done to us.\u00a0\u00a09\u00a0Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them\u00a0against the rocks.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

From the evil in the world, there is no repentance for their evil deeds.\u00a0\u00a0Never do we hear from them \u201cI regret, I\u2019m sorry, I went too far, I now regret my actions.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0They tear down what you treasured.\u00a0\u00a0While we mourn they rejoice in the cold ashes from the fires they lit, and the graves of those they killed bring them no remorse.\u00a0\u00a0Instead they have a party in the ashes and dance atop the graves.\u00a0\u00a0They are lost in their new positions of power but they do not rebuild because they only know destruction and their ideas to rebuild fail.\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge and wisdom to rebuild they don\u2019t have.<\/p>\n

Destruction was not necessary.\u00a0\u00a0Loss of blessings came from rejection of He who gave them.\u00a0\u00a0Then those who remember what once was, who lived in blessings but were not thankful to the giver of them, to them comes regret and mourning.\u00a0\u00a0In regret of foolishness the ashes and graves loudly mock them.\u00a0\u00a0Why did they acquiesce to evil?\u00a0\u00a0Now they wonder if God will restore those who have hated Him.\u00a0\u00a0Without repentance, they only have memories that torture them.<\/p>\n

Yet for His faithful children, for those who love and serve Him, the Lord says \u201cForever you remain in my love and peace. You will be comforted.\u00a0\u00a0My high blessings remain forever to my faithful.\u00a0\u00a0Your hearts will stay in peace, hope will never leave you, and you will soon be brought home.\u00a0\u00a0In your hearts you hurt for the lost, but in your spirits, you will walk forever be in peace with me. Fires cannot eat and the evil cannot steal or kill the life I have given to you.\u00a0\u00a0Nothing can separate you from me.\u00a0\u00a0You will rejoice even amongst the tears. Soon, the tears will be no more.\u00a0\u00a0I am faithful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n

Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear\u00a0me.<\/p>\n

Micah 6:8<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0He has shown You, O man, what\u00a0is\u00a0good; And what does the\u00a0Lord\u00a0require of You but to do justly, to love mercy, And to walk humbly with Your God.<\/p>\n

Numbers 6:24-26<\/b>\u00a0\u201cThe\u00a0Lord\u00a0bless you and keep you; 25\u00a0the\u00a0Lord\u00a0make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26\u00a0the\u00a0Lord\u00a0turn His face\u00a0toward you and give you peace.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
