Galatians 1:1\u00a0<\/b>\u2013 \u201cPaul, an apostle \u2013 sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
John 3:18<\/b>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0\u201c<\/sup>For we are God\u2019s handiwork,\u00a0created\u00a0in Christ Jesus to do good works,\u00a0which God prepared in advance for us to do<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n Romans 8:28-30<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0\u00a0\u201cAnd we know that in all things God works for the good\u00a0of those who love him, who\u00a0have been called\u00a0according to his purpose.\u00a029\u00a0For those God foreknew\u00a0he also predestined\u00a0to be conformed to the image of his Son,\u00a0that he might be the firstborn\u00a0among many brothers and sisters.\u00a030\u00a0And those he predestined,\u00a0he also called;\u00a0those he called, he also justified;\u00a0those he justified, he also glorified<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n Common questions are \u201cWho am I?\u00a0\u00a0What is my purpose?\u00a0\u00a0What am I here to do?\u00a0\u00a0What is the meaning of life?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0These are common questions that it is likely all people have had at one time or another (even if it was so long ago that some can\u2019t remember).\u00a0\u00a0To some these questions seem unknowable.\u00a0\u00a0But none of them are.\u00a0\u00a0There are some easy answers to these questions that, while being personal, are also general.<\/p>\n If anyone is searching for true answers to these questions in any place but the Bible and from anyone other than God, then they need to revise their search.\u00a0\u00a0The true, the satisfying answers come only from God and His Word.\u00a0\u00a0You can search other places, you may even come to think you know the answer, but if you don\u2019t get the answer from the Lord God, then you absolutely don\u2019t have the answer.<\/p>\n Many find very noble, good and transcendent tasks in life to do, and then think that they have found the purpose to life.\u00a0\u00a0For example, they find a spouse and they believe their purpose in life is to love their spouse and to help that person have the best life they can have.\u00a0\u00a0Then they have a child and they think that now they have two purposes in life. Then, after some aging, our parents, or grandparents need help as they age, so some think that our purpose is also to take care of them, or siblings or other relatives.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0We all know that all these things are noble, good and pleasing in the eyes of God.\u00a0\u00a0And yes, the Lord God will have us to do these things, but none of them are our purpose in life or our identity.<\/p>\n \u201cWho am I.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0The only one worthy answer to have is I am a child of God.\u00a0\u00a0Are we all children of God?\u00a0\u00a0No, we are all God\u2019s creation, but not until we are born again are we God\u2019s children.\u00a0\u00a0(John 3:18<\/b>)<\/p>\n \u201cWhat is my purpose and what am I called to do?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0It is to love the Lord our God with all that we are and to love each other.\u00a0\u00a0(Matthew 22:37-40<\/b>)\u00a0<\/b>If we love the Lord we will obey Him.\u00a0\u00a0If we love each other then it will be a sacrificial love like the Lord has for us. (John 13:34-35<\/b>) If we are living to love God and to love each other then we will be sharing the Gospel as Jesus instructed us to do.\u00a0\u00a0(Matthew 28:19-20<\/b>) And we will love and care for each other.<\/p>\n King Solomon wrote \u201cNow all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God\u00a0and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. 14\u00a0For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.<\/i>\u201d (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Jesus said in\u00a0Mark 8:36<\/b>\u00a0\u201cFor whoever wants to save their life\u00a0will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0\u00a0At the end of our lives only one thing will matter and that is \u201cwhat did with do with Jesus.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Eternal salvation is only through Him (Acts 4:12<\/b>), and in the echoes of eternity, the only thing that will matter is if we loved the Lord, or not.\u00a0\u00a0Ultimately who we are is who God says we are.
