<\/span>J<\/b>ude 2<\/b>\u00a0– Mercy, peace\u00a0and love be yours in abundance.<\/p>\n

This epistle was written by the Lord\u2019s brother and in\u00a0V1b<\/b>\u00a0we observe that Jude is writing to believers.\u00a0 In\u00a0V2<\/b>\u00a0Jude is greeting his fellow saints and is praying a blessing on them.\u00a0 This letter is meant for all the church.<\/p>\n

Abundance here brings to mind a filling to the brim, even an overfilling. Think of a cup under an open faucet with water pouring from the faucet into the cup.\u00a0 Soon the cup will be filled to the top and overflowing.\u00a0 The abundance Jude wishes upon us is not only a one time filling, but is a continuous overflowing filling.\u00a0 This kind of abundance fills up and overflows so that there is never a time when the vessel is not filled.\u00a0 This allows us to, without worry, give to others the blessings that we receive because we will never run out of what God has given us.\u00a0 So we \u201cpass-forward\u201d the blessings we receive from our God.<\/p>\n

\u201cMercy unto you,\u201d God\u2019s mercy.\u00a0 Jude is noting that those who are in Christ have received the mercy of God that is a free gift from the Father to those who love His Son. (John 14:21<\/b>)<\/p>\n

\u201cMercy onto you.\u201d\u00a0 First we received, through Jesus, mercy from the Father.\u00a0 The benefit is that we are moved from being mere creations of God to children of God.\u00a0 From the mercy of God comes not only peace with God, but the awareness of God\u2019s love for us.\u00a0 Through His never-ending mercy we receive His never-ending peace.\u00a0 The blood of Jesus not only cleansed us, but cleanses us.\u00a0 Because we always have mercy we always have the peace that comes from the sure knowledge of His mercy.<\/p>\n

Since God\u2019s mercy to us is endless, then we know that He endlessly loves us, because His mercy finds its origin in His love.\u00a0 Knowing those two things, His peace also is always with us.\u00a0 God has called us, kept us and loved us so His mercy and His peace eternally remain with us.<\/p>\n

God who knows all things truly has \u201c\u2026given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.\u201d (2 Peter 1:3<\/b>) Amen!\u00a0 Thank you Lord for your eternal and overabundant love, mercy and peace!\u00a0 Thank you Lord!\u00a0 Praise God!<\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n

Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear\u00a0me.<\/p>\n

Micah 6:8<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0He has shown You, O man, what\u00a0is\u00a0good; And what does the\u00a0Lord\u00a0require of You but to do justly, to love mercy, And to walk humbly with Your God.<\/p>\n
