More sure than the rising of the sun

Or the setting of it

Is the surety of God’s love

For those who are called by His name

Should the earth fiercely shake

And split at its seams

Though the mountains crumble

At the fierceness and force of the quake

Though fear of men rise up

In an angry voice at God

Though I be thought a fool

Who has lost his mind

Or, perhaps, never had one

As the science of this world

Proclaim the words of God

Dead,

When great wonders in the sky

And on the earth

Are performed by imposters,

Forced to meet with God’s family

In secret

Because those who call themselves tolerant

Cannot tolerate the teachings of God

Surely my earthly possessions will be stolen

Legally

Food and drink to sustain me

Denied to me

Beatings of me shall be deemed justified

A ceiling over my head a mystery

Blood relatives deny me

Those I love murdered

Nerves screaming from endured torture

Struggling for a single breath

Feeling the life of my body ebb away

Then, as now, I will not deny

My Lord Jesus Christ

With songs of praise I will joyfully

Sing with all I am able

At the highest volume I can

I will tell of God’s eternal and unlimited love

Always, forever, will I remain

In the Tower that is God

My body may be savaged

Yet my spirit is safe and secure

In the promises of God

Earthly pleasure can be denied to me

Joy and peace in God cannot

Though all that exists explodes

And is gone,

My God is able to sustain me

In the palm of His hand

Creating oxygen before my nostrils

Before every breath

As my Lord Jesus said

“I have food to eat that you know nothing about”

So it is God, and God alone

Who sustains me

Not the earth or the benefits of it

Neither food or drink

Empty is the air to cause me to live

Life and joy originate in heaven

By God alone am I alive

Forever my joy is based in Him

His love flows steady from His heart

Into mine, creating life and giving liberty

Joy of Him and His love overwhelm me

Dams of bondage and sin break

So that instead of sin flowing

In increasing measure

It is His grace and love

His words that live within me

That cannot be contained within this

Temporary vessel

They flow from me

One sure fact I know

God is Love, Truth and Life

His goodness remains forever

Let all of creation, and every man within it

Be a lie

God is true

Always I must praise God with what He most wants from me

my Love, that began with His
