Job 36:26a<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0How great is God–beyond our understanding!<\/i><\/p>\n
Isaiah 40:13-14<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Who can fathom the Spirit\u00a0of the\u00a0Lord, or instruct the\u00a0Lord\u00a0as His counselor?\u00a0\u00a014\u00a0Whom did the\u00a0Lord\u00a0consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the right way? Who was it that taught Him knowledge, or showed Him the path of understanding?<\/i><\/p>\n
Romans 3:11<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0There is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.<\/i><\/p>\n
Oh Lord God, I know so little.\u00a0\u00a0I understand even less.\u00a0\u00a0The world is grand and big and the people who populate it are amazing and incredible creations of Your design.\u00a0\u00a0What I have been taught in schools, in books, in listening, is true one day, one year, and then the next not true.\u00a0\u00a0I grew up loving the Brontosaurus as I played with my dinosaur toys.\u00a0\u00a0I loved the gargantuan \u201cthunder lizard.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Then my heart was broken as, alas, it was reported that the Brontosaurus was in fact the Apatosaurus and so the name Brontosaurus was to be dropped from the science books.\u00a0\u00a0Then, after the passing of years, to my delight, it was reported that the Brontosaurus was not the Apatosaurus so I could again take pleasure in this gentle giant.<\/p>\n
Likewise Pluto, the icy ninth planet from the sun.\u00a0\u00a0I grew up looking at the stars at night.\u00a0\u00a0I was always amazed and dumbfounded.\u00a0\u00a0I wondered if one could approach, the planets, or ride the asteroids or get closer to the suns of the universe.\u00a0\u00a0I hoped that man would one day explore this distant mysterious planet.\u00a0\u00a0Then we were told it was not a planet.\u00a0\u00a0It made me wonder what \u201cscience\u201d really knows for sure.\u00a0\u00a0Now Pluto is called a dwarf planet.\u00a0\u00a0So it is a planet, only a small one.\u00a0\u00a0And \u201cscience\u201d now states there may be a hundred or more planets in our galaxy, some full sized and some dwarf planets.\u00a0\u00a0Maybe so, we shall see.<\/p>\n
Science changes it \u201cfacts\u201d (not a true science such as mathematics).\u00a0\u00a0What is adamantly proclaimed today may change drastically tomorrow.\u00a0\u00a0Man is always learning.\u00a0\u00a0Yet what is man and what is the value of his thoughts?\u00a0\u00a0(1 Peter 1:24, Psalm 102:11<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0All people are here today and gone tomorrow.\u00a0\u00a0(James 4:14, Psalm 39:5<\/b>) So what do we hold as absolute truth?\u00a0\u00a0What is unchanging? It is easy to understand how man, apart from the knowledge of God, may think that there is no absolute truth.\u00a0\u00a0Family, it is only God who is the high and only Truth. (John 14:6, Psalm 119:160)<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0God does not change.\u00a0\u00a0He is all Truth and He has always been and will always be.\u00a0\u00a0He is the great\u00a0I AM<\/b>, who is ever present from past eternal to future eternal.\u00a0\u00a0(Exodus 3:14<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0He is the omnipresent constant that precedes and endures beyond time.\u00a0\u00a0He cannot learn because He knows everything.\u00a0\u00a0Modern thought is new to man but not to Him.\u00a0\u00a0He has known all that man would think since before the existence of mankind to even think.\u00a0\u00a0Besides, God who knows everything and always has does not seek the counsel of men, with their ever-changing opinions and \u201cfacts.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0God is constant and eternally so.\u00a0\u00a0The day is coming when all the physical \u201creality\u201d around us will be have served its purpose and be burned away to give way to the new earth. (2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:1<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0So we see, the truth that man proclaims as high truth is \u201ctruths\u201d about the earth and universe and they are not the highest truth and are not even a permanent truth.\u00a0\u00a0There is only one high and permanent truth and that is the eternal God.\u00a0\u00a0And God, who loves us, gave the highest Truth to us in His Word and He reveals it to us by His Spirit. (1 Corinthians 2:6-16, John 14:26<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0God created all of creation and it is God who explains and reveals it to mankind in His Word.\u00a0\u00a0Long before the inhabitants of the earth figured out the world was a sphere and not flat, the Bible taught us so.\u00a0\u00a0(Isaiah 40:22<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Long before mankind figured out that the moon was not itself a light, the Bible proclaimed it in\u00a0Job 25:5a<\/b>\u00a0\u201cBehold even to the moon, and it shineth not<\/i>.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0God\u2019s truth is supreme because God is supreme. (Isaiah 45:5, Psalm 95:3<\/b>)\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0His thoughts are so much higher than our thoughts that we cannot begin to fathom even the infiniteness of who He is, or why He does what He does.\u00a0\u00a0(Isaiah 55:9<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0We know in part, but by His Spirit He reveals truth beyond human comprehension.\u00a0\u00a0Eternal Truth is given by God and achieved by no man.\u00a0\u00a0We do know this for sure. (Matthew 16:17<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0We know that He is love and that He loves us. (1 John 4:8, John 3:16<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Yet even in that we cannot understand what His love is unless He reveals it to us.\u00a0\u00a0(Ephesians 3:16-19<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Fleshly love is not godly love.\u00a0\u00a0(1 John 2:15-17<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0God\u2019s love is something to know that it is, but is beyond us fulling comprehending it.\u00a0\u00a0We can walk in it, but not fully understand it.\u00a0\u00a0Like a child playing in the forest, the child can behold the beauty of it and enjoy the magnificence of it without fully understanding how or what it is.\u00a0\u00a0The child merely knows that the forest is and that the child enjoys it.\u00a0\u00a0And so we know that God is, though we do not have the ability to fully know how or what He is.\u00a0\u00a0That does not preclude us from enjoying the \u201cforest\u201d of who He is and His great love for us.\u00a0\u00a0So, let us learn of God.\u00a0\u00a0Let\u2019s drink from the cup of fellowship that He offers to all who come to Him through Jesus, who is the only way to Him. (1 Corinthians 10:16, 1 John 1:3, Acts 4:12<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0Let\u2019s know God by seeking Him through the Way He has provided.\u00a0\u00a0(John 14:6<\/b>)\u00a0\u00a0We do not understand fully, not in this life, and probably never will.\u00a0\u00a0A child walks in the love of its parents and grandparents, yet does not know everything about them or what they know, but still reaps the benefit of their existence and love.\u00a0\u00a0How much more so us with God!\u00a0\u00a0Learn of God yes.\u00a0\u00a0The Truth will set us free (John 8:32<\/b>), and that freedom increases as we grow in Him, in His love and in His Word.\u00a0\u00a0Freedom given by God is limitless and that by His love and the very nature of Him.\u00a0\u00a0God is good all the time and He loves us.\u00a0\u00a0Amen and praise the Lord God Almighty!\u00a0\u00a0Praise God!<\/p>\n
