Psalm 42:1-5, 8\u00a0<\/b>–\u00a0As the deer\u00a0pants for streams of water, so my soul pants\u00a0for you, my God.\u00a0 2\u00a0My soul thirsts\u00a0for God, for the living God.\u00a0 When can I go\u00a0and meet with God? 3\u00a0My tears\u00a0have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, \u201cWhere is your God?\u201d 4\u00a0These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy\u00a0and praise among the festive throng.\u00a0 5\u00a0Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed\u00a0within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise\u00a0him, my Savior\u00a0and my God.\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/span>By day the\u00a0Lord\u00a0directs his love, at night\u00a0his song\u00a0is with me\u2014a prayer to the God of my life.<\/i><\/p>\n

Psalm 5:3<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0In\u00a0the\u00a0morning,\u00a0Lord, you hear my voice;\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0morning\u00a0I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.<\/i><\/p>\n

Psalm 59:16<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But I will sing of your strength,\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0morning\u00a0I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge\u00a0in\u00a0times of trouble.<\/i><\/p>\n

Psalm 143:8<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let\u00a0the\u00a0morning\u00a0bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust\u00a0in\u00a0you. Show me\u00a0the\u00a0way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.<\/i><\/p>\n

Our eyes oh Lord,<\/p>\n

Are focused on You!<\/p>\n

The terrors of the world,<\/p>\n

They are transparent,<\/p>\n

Through them we see only you.<\/p>\n

Through everything in the world,<\/p>\n

We always see you.<\/p>\n

Though the earth shakes,<\/p>\n

As the floods increase,<\/p>\n

As the pestilence preys,<\/p>\n

We cannot fear,<\/p>\n

Only you hold our gaze.<\/p>\n

You Almighty God,<\/p>\n

Are what we focus upon.<\/p>\n

With our sight and with our minds,<\/p>\n

You are the beauty we see.<\/p>\n

In doing such,<\/p>\n

We are at peace.<\/p>\n

Oh to see and hear the tempest,<\/p>\n

To be amidst the rage of the waves,<\/p>\n

To be aghast at the power,<\/p>\n

And yet walk in total peace,<\/p>\n

That comes from a heart,<\/p>\n

Whose beat is aligned,<\/p>\n

With the heart of God.<\/p>\n

Gazing up to the stars<\/p>\n

The face of God looks back,<\/p>\n

It is both frightening and peace giving,<\/p>\n

Both breath-taking and<\/p>\n

Heart-calming.<\/p>\n

Hold the gaze,<\/p>\n

See His eyes,<\/p>\n

See His love!<\/p>\n

Fulfillment is attained,<\/p>\n

Through His embrace,<\/p>\n

A transfusion of love,<\/p>\n

Like hugging electricity<\/p>\n

Change is inevitable<\/p>\n
