From the time when my son\u2019s first were babies and just learning to communicate I would tell them to give God the glory for everything and to be thankful.\u00a0 I told them they were beautiful and it is okay, even good, to know that, but not to be proud.\u00a0 What did they do to be beautiful?\u00a0 Nothing, it was a gift from God. \u00a0So just be thankful to Him. \u00a0They were intelligent and I told them the same thing about that.\u00a0 It is good to know that God blessed them with intelligence and to thank God for it.\u00a0 It is bad to become proud because again, they did nothing to be intelligent, instead they were born with it.\u00a0 Some may say that is so but they worked hard at adding to their knowledge, at being fit and taking care of themselves, and they are proud of that.\u00a0 It is good that one is driven to take care of how God has gifted them, whatever the gift, but who made them to have the drive?\u00a0 Again it is God!\u00a0 If God did not gift us to have the drive to succeed we would not.\u00a0 So in all things we thank God!<\/p>\n
Family, it is better to thank God for every little thing than to not thank Him.\u00a0 What do any of us have that is not a gift from God.\u00a0 The answer is that we have nothing, no talent, no beauty, no intelligence, nothing but that God gave it to us (James 1:17<\/b>).\u00a0 Let us remember, every day of our lives, to be thankful to God for every little thing.\u00a0 We can thank Him for our blessings without becoming proud. \u00a0If we remember that God is the source of the blessings we have no reason to be proud but only to be thankful.\u00a0 Remember to thank Him for the cool drink, or the hot drink, or the snack, or the meal, all of which are blessings from God.\u00a0 So praise God for waking up, praise God for the bed, for the clothes, for the food, for the morning drink, for the home, and for all things.\u00a0 Especially thank Him for what all the blessings mean.\u00a0 They mean that God loves us and that He is good, kind, and mindful of us.\u00a0 That His eyes are on us.\u00a0 Thank God!\u00a0 Praise God!\u00a0 Love God!<\/p>\n
