Ecclesiastes 7:9<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.<\/i><\/p>\n
Anger flares faster than a struck match and explodes like dynamite.\u00a0 It scars hearts and minds and kills many relationships.\u00a0 Don\u2019t justify anger that does not bring good fruit.\u00a0 Some will rise up quickly to (angrily) ask “What about righteous anger?”\u00a0 Rarely do we truly have righteous anger, mostly we just have anger.\u00a0 We should not deceive ourselves.\u00a0 Besides, what of required forgiveness?\u00a0 We have and do deceive ourselves much too often.\u00a0 Oh Lord God, please help us to not act like fools.\u00a0 The anger that flares up only reveals what we war against within.\u00a0 We no longer want to suppress unholy anger within, no, instead we want to kill it.\u00a0 Our anger is rarely, if ever, righteous.\u00a0 Oh that we would only know true righteous anger and that all selfishness and foolishness would be a distant memory.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlways pray to have eyes that see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that that forgets the bad, and a soul that never loses faith in God.\u201d\u00a0 In other words do unto others as you would have them do unto you (Matthew 7:12<\/b>).\u00a0 It is what Jesus does for us.\u00a0 Let\u2019s pursue a heart that gives no home to anger, because if we do, it will surely flame up and reveal the shame of it being kept.\u00a0 Get rid of anger and replace it with the love of God.\u00a0 Remember that when bad is cleaned out, replace it with good, lest bad return. (Matthew 12:43-45<\/b>)<\/p>\n
Peace, love and wisdom rule when anger is vanquished.\u00a0 Lord, please, may it be so for all of us.<\/p>\n
