Mark 8:36<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?<\/i><\/p>\n
Perhaps, more than any other verse, the Lord has used this verse to keep me focused (not that I have never temporarily lost proper focus).\u00a0 This scripture grabs me.\u00a0 In the end, we all will stand before Him and answer to Him. (Romans 14:10-12<\/b>)\u00a0 Praise God for His grace.\u00a0 Ultimately there is only one question of highest importance and that question is \u201cHave I loved and served God through Jesus Christ.\u201d (Acts 4:12, 1 Timothy 2:5<\/b>) If the answer is \u201cno\u201d then it matters not if I make millions, or have served millions, or have become powerful in business and of great influence.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t matter if I have done a million good deeds and if everyone thinks I am great if, when I stand before the Lord Jesus He says to me \u201c\u2026I never knew you\u2026\u201d (Matthew 7:21-23<\/b>)\u00a0 That prospect for me, for those I love and for those I know, is horrifying!<\/p>\n
When my sons were wee ones, I repeatedly reminded them that it is of no eternal value to have the praise of man and not of God.\u00a0 I would teach them this verse and would often ask them what is most important in life.\u00a0 They would say, with the full enthusiasm of a child \u201cJesus!\u201d\u00a0 Yes, I told them this from very young. \u00a0Remembering their sweet faces and lovely voices in response is one of my greatest memories.\u00a0 I also have, and will, tell this to anyone who will listen. Jesus, what we do with Jesus, is ultimately, the only eternal thing that matters.<\/p>\n
There are no parties in hell.\u00a0 No one in hell is concerned about power.\u00a0 There is only suffering.\u00a0 But in Heaven, there is no suffering, only the love and rule of God.\u00a0 I want to be in heaven.\u00a0 It is my highest goal for myself and for all I love and know.\u00a0 So Family, what is the most important thing in our lives?\u00a0 What do we burn for?\u00a0 If it is Christ, we will have what we burn for.\u00a0 If it is not Christ, we may achieve anything and everything else, and then burn for it.<\/p>\n
Seek God, with all that we are (Mark 12:30<\/b>), and our place with Him is sure and secure.\u00a0 Truly, with all that is within me, I hope we all eternally party\u2026in heaven (Revelation 19:6-9<\/b>).\u00a0 That\u2019s the best!\u00a0 That\u2019s the sure destiny for all who love and serve God through Jesus.\u00a0 Praise our loving and good God! \u00a0Embrace Him and find that He is embracing you.\u00a0 \u00a0Praise God!<\/p>\n
Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/i><\/p>\n
