Family, it is good to be silent and to be still before God.\u00a0 To clear our minds of the world and focus solely on God and to, with great and certain expectation, call out\/whisper\/cry out to, our God.\u00a0 Like the child who would become the Prophet Samuel\u2019s response to God \u201cSpeak, for your servant is listening.\u201d (1 Samuel 1:10<\/b>)\u00a0 Then God spoke and Samuel heard the voice of God. Family, stop, think about this, Samuel heard God speak to him!\u00a0 Wow, wow, wow!\u00a0 Doesn\u2019t everyone who loves God want to hear from Him?\u00a0 After all Jesus said that His sheep will hear His voice (John 10:27<\/b>). \u00a0There is nowhere in the New Testament that states that God will stop speaking to His children.\u00a0 Nowhere!\u00a0 It is not weird that our Creator would know how to, and would, communicate with us.<\/p>\n

Luke 12:11-12<\/b>\u00a0states that when we are to answer questions about the Lord, we should not worry because\u00a0\u201cthe Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 I hope we all have had that experience because we have put ourselves in that place and listened for God to guide.\u00a0 When God speaks He does it differently at different times.\u00a0 We should think of it as God communicating with us.\u00a0 We should think of it as Him communicating with us and He can speak to us through His Word, through thoughts, and yes, we can hear His voice.\u00a0 Let no-one rob us of any of the forms that God speaks to us through.\u00a0 God speaks to us.\u00a0 He is always speaking to us.\u00a0 If we hear from God is not a matter of whether He is speaking to us, but if are listening.<\/p>\n

Family, let us all, every day, be still, be quiet and listen for God to speak to us.\u00a0 To guide us.\u00a0 And to comfort and quiet our souls.\u00a0 Let Him pour through us with living water in an abundance that we cannot contain and let the Spirit of God flow into us, and through us, into the world. Family, this is not a doctrine of men for us to consider, it is Biblical.\u00a0 It is in the Word and so it is true.\u00a0 True for the early church and true for us.\u00a0 God wants to speak to us, to bless us with His presence in order that we would be whole and full of His love and joy.\u00a0 All good stuff!\u00a0 Family, make time for the Lord.\u00a0 Stop, be still, focus solely on Him.\u00a0 Let these thoughts of David be our thoughts\u00a0\u201cSurely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;\u00a0<\/span><\/i>4\u00a0I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, 5\u00a0Until I find out a place for the\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Lord<\/i><\/span>, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.\u201d<\/i>(Psalm 132:3-<\/b>5) \u00a0Let us not rest till we have heard from God.\u00a0 Let us not begin our daily obligations until we have heard from God.\u00a0 \u00a0Love, joy and peace come to those in whom the Lord dwells.\u00a0 Let us be still, let us clear our thoughts, and let us wait on and call out to God to speak to us.\u00a0 You know, He already is.\u00a0 The question is \u201cAre we listening?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
