I hope that I am more faithful than my dog.\u00a0 When I am in one room he is often laying somewhere nearby.\u00a0 When I go to another room, he will follow me in.\u00a0 He wants to be where I am.\u00a0 Another thing, is that he watches me.\u00a0 If he is sleeping, I know he is still listening.\u00a0 He is listening to hear what I say or do (and of course in case I bring out some food).\u00a0 He makes me laugh when I pause what I am doing and I see he is looking at me.\u00a0 His name is Jake, but I often call him watcher.\u00a0 That is what he does.\u00a0\u00a0 I love Jake.<\/p>\n
I hope that I am faithful to God at least to the level as Jake is to me.\u00a0 May I wake in the morning and look and listen for Him.\u00a0 May my first thoughts be of Him.\u00a0 May my first words be to Him \u201cGood Morning Lord!\u00a0 What are we doing today?\u201d\u00a0 Always may I keep my eyes on God and my ears open for His instruction.\u00a0 May I walk in the impressions of His footsteps.\u00a0 Continually may I consider His infinite love for me and His faithfulness that is beyond my comprehension.\u00a0 Every breath I exhale may it be filled with gratefulness to our Lord.\u00a0 He truly is so good and He loves me so much.\u00a0 Oh He knows my many faults.\u00a0 He has an innumerable amount of times lifted me from recklessness with skinned knees and bruises and heals me.\u00a0 He lifts me with love and speaks loving and kind words to me.\u00a0 He calls to me warnings and gives me direction and when I fail to listen and obey, He picks me up and forgives me.\u00a0 His thoughts of me are not of my frailty.\u00a0 His consideration of me is through the filter of His love and grace.\u00a0 In the end, all memory of my failures shall be burned away and only what I have done faithfully and in love will remain.\u00a0 So I pray that will always follow where He leads.\u00a0 May my bed be wherever His feet are.\u00a0 May my eyes be always watching Him and may my ears be always listening for His voice.\u00a0 Wherever He goes, I want to be.\u00a0 He will strengthen me.\u00a0 He will enable me.\u00a0 He cleans me and makes me ready.\u00a0 He is so good to me, He loves me.<\/p>\n
Because He first loved me I love Him.\u00a0 Though He enables me, though it is always by His power that good is done through me, He still gives me credit that belongs only to Him.\u00a0 Psalm 91:14-16<\/strong> \u201c\u201cBecause he\u00a0loves me,\u201d says the\u00a0Lord, \u201cI will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.\u00a0 15\u00a0He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16\u00a0With long life\u00a0I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.\u201d\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Keep me Lord, please keep me ever near.\u00a0 I am yours and follow You, and I watch You, and I long to hear Your words to me.\u00a0 Lord, where you lead, I follow.\u00a0 What else can I do?<\/p>\n Psalm 150:6<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Micah 7:7<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear\u00a0me.<\/p>\n
