Revelation 22:12-21<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0\u201cLook, I am coming soon!\u00a0My reward is with me,\u00a0and I will give to each person according to what they have done.<\/i><\/span>\u00a013\u00a0I am the Alpha and the Omega,\u00a0the First and the Last,\u00a0the Beginning and the End.\u00a0 14\u00a0\u201cBlessed are those who wash their robes,\u00a0that they may have the right to the tree of life\u00a0and may go through the gates\u00a0into the city.<\/span>\u00a015\u00a0Outside\u00a0are the dogs,\u00a0those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.\u00a0 16\u00a0\u201cI, Jesus,\u00a0have sent my angel\u00a0to give you\u00a0this testimony for the churches.\u00a0I am the Root\u00a0and the Offspring of David,\u00a0and the bright Morning Star.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>17\u00a0The Spirit\u00a0and the bride\u00a0say, \u201cCome!\u201d And let the one who hears say, \u201cCome!\u201d Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. 18\u00a0I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll:\u00a0If anyone adds anything to them,\u00a0God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.<\/span>\u00a019\u00a0And if anyone takes words away\u00a0from this scroll of prophecy,\u00a0God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life\u00a0and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll. 20\u00a0He who testifies to these things says,\u00a0<\/span>\u201cYes, I am coming soon.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21\u00a0The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God\u2019s people.\u00a0Amen.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/i><\/span>I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll:\u00a0If anyone adds anything to them,\u00a0God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll<\/i><\/span>.\u201d\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0Notice that this warning applies only to this scroll (Revelation).\u00a0 The principle applies to all of scripture though for the rest of scripture\u00a0Deuteronomy 4:2<\/b>\u00a0may be a better choice to quote\u00a0<\/span>\u201cDo not add to what I command you and do not subtract\u00a0from it, but keep\u00a0the commands\u00a0of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0your God that I give you.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 Another verse is\u00a0Proverbs 30:5-6\u00a0<\/b>\u201cEvery word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.\u00a06<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>Do not add to his words, or He will rebuke you and prove you a liar.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 Of course we understand that that we are not to add to God\u2019s Word or take from it.\u00a0 As if God needed editing!<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd if anyone takes words away\u00a0from this scroll of prophecy,\u00a0God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life\u00a0and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0 God\u2019s Word is holy and meant to bring us life, to keep us alive and to steer us away from evil and to keep us living with Him, as in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15-17<\/b>). God\u2019s Word to Adam was to keep Him safe and from evil and God\u2019s Word to us is likewise to keep us safe and in fellowship with Him and leading us to Eternal Live with Him (2 Timothy 3:16<\/b>).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The same Word that used to say that if anyone \u201ctakes words away\u00a0from this scroll of prophecy\u201d<\/i>\u00a0is also used in stating that\u00a0\u201cGod will take away from that person any share in the tree of life\u00a0and in the Holy City.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 That word \u201caphaire\u014d\u201d means to take away from or to remove from.\u00a0 Now, one cannot take away from, or remove from, something that one did not have.\u00a0 For example, one cannot take a Word from the Bible if that word is not in it.\u00a0 Something cannot be taken from anyone unless someone first has it.\u00a0 This word definitely means to take something from someone that someone already has. \u00a0The same word is used, with the same meaning of taking away what one has, in\u00a0Luke 1:25, 10:42, 16:3\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0Romans 11:27<\/b>.\u00a0 Therefore, it seems clear that eternal life is something being taken away.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Revelation 22:14<\/b>\u00a0states that those who have the right to the tree of life are those who are believers, who have had their robes washed, and we know that only happens by believing in Jesus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe who testifies to these things says,\u00a0<\/span>\u201cYes, I am coming soon.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21\u00a0The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God\u2019s people.\u00a0Amen.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0 Jesus again (Revelation 22:7<\/b>) Himself gives testimony that the Words in Revelation are true.\u00a0 He then states that He is coming soon (again stating the same as in\u00a0Revelation 22:7<\/b>).\u00a0 Family, this our hope, this is what we are looking forward to, for Him to return and take us to be with God forever.\u00a0 Let us keep our hearts, and our minds and our eyes straining for the return of Jesus.\u00a0 He is the reward of our faith.\u00a0\u00a0 Praise God!\u00a0 Thank you Jesus!<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n

Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear\u00a0me.<\/p>\n
