Revelation 22:12-21<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0\u201cLook, I am coming soon!\u00a0My reward is with me,\u00a0and I will give to each person according to what they have done.<\/i><\/span>\u00a013\u00a0I am the Alpha and the Omega,\u00a0the First and the Last,\u00a0the Beginning and the End.\u00a0 14\u00a0\u201cBlessed are those who wash their robes,\u00a0that they may have the right to the tree of life\u00a0and may go through the gates\u00a0into the city.<\/span>\u00a015\u00a0Outside\u00a0are the dogs,\u00a0those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.\u00a0 16\u00a0\u201cI, Jesus,\u00a0have sent my angel\u00a0to give you\u00a0this testimony for the churches.\u00a0I am the Root\u00a0and the Offspring of David,\u00a0and the bright Morning Star.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>17\u00a0The Spirit\u00a0and the bride\u00a0say, \u201cCome!\u201d And let the one who hears say, \u201cCome!\u201d Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. 18\u00a0I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll:\u00a0If anyone adds anything to them,\u00a0God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.<\/span>\u00a019\u00a0And if anyone takes words away\u00a0from this scroll of prophecy,\u00a0God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life\u00a0and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll. 20\u00a0He who testifies to these things says,\u00a0<\/span>\u201cYes, I am coming soon.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21\u00a0The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God\u2019s people.\u00a0Amen.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cLook, I am coming soon!\u00a0My reward is with me,\u00a0and I will give to each person according to what they have done.<\/i><\/span>\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 Along with this verse, also in\u00a0V7, V2, V20 and V3:11\u00a0<\/b>the Lord expresses to us that He is coming soon.\u00a0 It is not an idle statement of some nebulous future date.\u00a0 It is a statement of fact and it is also a promise.\u00a0 It is the spark of our hope and the object of our gaze. \u00a0It is sustenance of our faith and hope, Jesus is coming back and He is coming soon!\u00a0 Praise God!\u00a0 Let\u2019s concentrate on that rather than on the countless distractions that are like so many ever present noises in the midst of a big city.<\/p>\n

He is coming soon.\u00a0 Dr. Swindoll uncovers an aspect of the word used here that is translated soon.\u00a0 Yes, it means soon, or quickly, as we would naturally interpret it.\u00a0 But it also has an element of suddenness and surprise.\u00a0 We might say \u201cJesus will surprise us and suddenly be back for us.\u00a0 One moment He will not be here and then the next He will be here, quickly, in an instant.\u201d\u00a0 That is why we, every day, we look for Him and wonder, will it be today?\u00a0 It stokes the flames of our hope and keeps us focused on walking in the Spirit.\u00a0 We want to be ready and we do not want to be left.<\/p>\n

When Jesus comes back the record for all will be sealed.\u00a0 If we have walked in faith and obedience to God (the prerequisite is to have loved God) then we will receive the fullness of the promises of God to those who believe.\u00a0 If one has chosen to live of self and for self, to live other then as His servant, then we will go to the eternal abode of the dammed.\u00a0 At this point, all chance for redemption is gone.\u00a0 The books are closed.\u00a0 Judgement, blessings or curses, are finally and utterly determined.\u00a0 All souls are now transitioned into their own forever with no change ever coming.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am the Alpha and the Omega,\u00a0the First and the Last,\u00a0the Beginning and the End.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0 Jesus here repeats from\u00a0Revelation 1:8, Revelation 1:17, Revelation 2:8, Isaiah 44:6, Isaiah 48:12<\/b>). Pastor John MacArthur notes that Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and the Omega is the last letter, just as in English A is the first letter and Z is the last letter.\u00a0 In His divinity Jesus was the creator, the first, the all, and He is the final answer to all of the story of how God loves mankind.\u00a0 Between the first and last letters of a languages alphabet are many more letters\u00a0 Depending on the arrangement of the letters, there is almost an innumerable amount of words that could be spelled out.\u00a0 And so it is with Jesus.\u00a0 He, as an equal member of the triune God, was there in the beginning.\u00a0 He as our Savior and Lord will be there at the end of time.\u00a0 And He is everything in between.\u00a0 He is our all in all.\u00a0 He indeed is the Beginning and the End.\u00a0 Praise God!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBlessed are those who wash their robes,\u00a0that they may have the right to the tree of life\u00a0and may go through the gates\u00a0into the city.<\/i><\/span>\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 Those who are washed clean have been cleaned by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:7<\/b>).\u00a0 It is only through Jesus (Acts 4:12<\/b>) do we have access to the tree of life and to the New City. When the full realization that we are now forever in Heaven, and the full realization that terror of the fate of the unbeliever is not ours, then we truly will dance, and shout, and sing about what Jesus has done for us.\u00a0 As a child, I may have known I was going to get a puppy, but it was when I first held him that all the joy flowed.\u00a0 Then, our joy will endlessly flow and our praises to God will never cease.<\/p>\n

\u201cOutside\u00a0are the dogs,\u00a0those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 \u201cDogs\u201d is a term for all who do not love God and are not obedient to Him.\u00a0 (Let\u2019s take special notice that included in the listing are liars and deceivers.\u00a0 Lying is no small sin is always noted as something that people who don\u2019t belong to God do [Proverbs 6:17, Leviticus 19:11, Proverbs 19:22, Revelation 21:8<\/b>].)\u00a0 The dogs are outside of what?\u00a0 They are outside of the blessings and outside of the eternal presence of God.\u00a0 They are forever \u201coutside.\u201d\u00a0 Forever in torment.\u00a0 So sad, so very, very sad.\u00a0 Family, let us be quick to share the Word with all.\u00a0 It is life and death.\u00a0 If we don\u2019t share, we don\u2019t love.\u00a0 If we don\u2019t love, we are also not His (1 John 4:8<\/b>) and in danger of also ending up \u201coutside.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

How wonderful is the grace of God that saves us who do not deserve to be saved and who cannot save ourselves.\u00a0 We were lost with no hope.\u00a0 But God, through Jesus, made the way.\u00a0 So we shall live forever with Him. He has made a home for us in His new Heaven.\u00a0 He is coming back for us.\u00a0 He is coming back soon!\u00a0 Praise God!\u00a0 Oh Family, let us always and continuously praise God!<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n
