Revelation 20:7-10<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/b><\/span>\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>When the thousand years are over,\u00a0Satan will be released from his prison\u00a08\u00a0and will go out to deceive the nations\u00a0in the four corners of the earth\u2014Gog and Magog\u2014and to gather them for battle.\u00a0In number they are like the sand on the seashore.\u00a09\u00a0They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded\u00a0the camp of God\u2019s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven\u00a0and devoured them.\u00a010\u00a0And the devil, who deceived them,\u00a0was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur,\u00a0where the beast\u00a0and the false prophet\u00a0had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.<\/i><\/p>\n

Jon Courson tells this story: A third grader once asked another third grader \u201cDo you really think there is a devil?\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0His friend responded \u201cNo, he\u2019s just like Santa.\u00a0 He is really your dad!\u201d<\/p>\n

Many people refuse to believe that the devil exists. But God clearly reveals in His Word that the devil is real, active and out to destroy every one of us.\u00a0 In the book of Revelation the devil is continuously referred to.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the thousand years are over,\u00a0Satan will be released from his prison.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 Many of those who believe that the thousand years are not a literal thousand years, but that the thousand years are representative of God\u2019s perfect will and perfect timing, think that this verse should probably read something like \u201cWhenever it is that God thinks it is the perfect time\u201d is when Satan will released from prison.\u00a0 Most others believe that the thousand years are literal and so after a thousand years of confinement the devil is released.<\/p>\n

Satan is released.\u00a0 Who decides when he should be released?\u00a0 Of course it is Lord God who makes the determination.\u00a0 So again, we see that the devil can do nothing unless the Lord allows him to.\u00a0 He cannot free himself.\u00a0 He cannot tempt the earth.\u00a0 He is really always confined by God.\u00a0 The devil hates and never stops persisting\u2026and failing, in his attempts to confound the will of God and to deceive the saints of God to follow him.<\/p>\n

\u201cand will go out to deceive the nations\u00a0in the four corners of the earth\u2014Gog and Magog\u2014and to gather them for battle.\u00a0In number they are like the sand on the seashore.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 Once the devil is released he again sets out to deceive the people of the world.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Because he hates God and he hates what he considers are God\u2019s filthy creations (us).\u00a0 He stabs through us to hurt God.<\/p>\n

This is not the battle of Gog and Magog spoken of in\u00a0Ezekiel 38<\/b>.\u00a0 That war has already been \u201cfought\u201d and Russia and her allies have been destroyed (Revelation 19:11-21<\/b>).\u00a0\u00a0Ezekiel 38:15<\/b>\u00a0reveals that Gog and Magog (Russia and her allies) will come from the far north.\u00a0 Notice that this reference to Gog and Magog come from the \u201cfour corners of the earth.\u00a0 Here Gog and Magog are a general term that refers to those who rebel against God.\u00a0 Like Coke is often synonymous with soda.<\/p>\n

The reason the devil is deceiving people around the world is the same as before, to try to defeat God with His own creation.\u00a0 This time it will be for a final battle.\u00a0 Think about the number of people he will deceive as they are said to be as numerous as the sand on the seashore.\u00a0 It is safe to say that means the amount of people that the devil deceived to fight God is too big for a man to stand and count.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded\u00a0the camp of God\u2019s people, the city he loves.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 This army of the devil comes to do war against God and the devil knows the war will occur at Israel.\u00a0 Family, all events of the nations of the world revolve around Israel.\u00a0 That is because Israel is the camp of God\u2019s people, Jerusalem is the city He loves.\u00a0 Don\u2019t discard Israel thinking that God has done so.\u00a0 The Word that God proclaimed (Numbers 24:9b<\/b>) to Israel remains true \u201cWhoever blesses Israel will be blessed,\u00a0and whoever curses Israel will be cursed.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0Anyone who wants to know where we are in God\u2019s timeline should first look to see what is happening with Israel.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut fire came down from heaven\u00a0and devoured them.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 Like when the beast and his army were destroyed was anticlimactic, just having been destroyed because Jesus wills it so.\u00a0 So will this war be the same.\u00a0 The devil and his army march against God.\u00a0 In an instant they are all destroyed by fire from heaven.\u00a0 No one can battle God.\u00a0 To even consider it is foolishness.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the devil, who deceived them,\u00a0was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur,\u00a0where the beast\u00a0and the false prophet\u00a0had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 The devil finally received the eternal punishment that he has been working for since before the creation of the universe and mankind.\u00a0 The beast and the false prophet have already been suffering in the burning Lake of Fire.\u00a0 Now the devil receives his punishment and is tossed into the Lake of Fire like yesterday\u2019s garbage.\u00a0 At this point, words are not wasted on the happening.\u00a0 Here scripture does not even waste words saying who tossed him in.\u00a0 It was God\u2019s will, it was done, case closed.<\/p>\n

Again notice that they will be tormented in the Lake of Fire\u00a0\u201cday and night for ever and ever.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 From the Lake of Fire there is no exit. As the last phrase from the Eagles \u201cHotel California\u201d states of hell when the occupant wanted to leave \u201c’Relax’ said the night man,\u00a0‘We are programmed to receive.\u00a0 You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!’\u201d\u00a0 Anyone who is thrown in the Lake of Fire will want to check out and then to leave.\u00a0 But that is never, not ever, an option.\u00a0 Those put in the Lake of Fire never get out.\u00a0 They are without hope.<\/p>\n

Family, let\u2019s never end with any sense of hopelessness.\u00a0 While indeed that any should have to end up in the Lake of Fire is the biggest tragedy of the world, whether they are demons or mankind, it is not what God had desired for any of them.\u00a0 It was their choice.\u00a0 What God had wanted was for all was to live in fellowship, and to be provided for and protected by Him, forever and ever.\u00a0 It is not the future for the rebellious.\u00a0 But it is our future!\u00a0 We will live in the love and peace and fellowship of God forever and ever.\u00a0 Praise God!\u00a0 We have a great future!\u00a0 Praise God!<\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/i><\/p>\n

Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear\u00a0me.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n
