Revelation 19:1-10\u00a0<\/b>–\u00a0After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude\u00a0in heaven shouting: \u201cHallelujah!\u00a0 Salvation\u00a0and glory and power\u00a0belong to our God, 2\u00a0for true and just are his judgments.\u00a0 He has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted the earth by her adulteries.\u00a0 He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.\u201d\u00a0 3\u00a0And again they shouted:<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cHallelujah!\u00a0 The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever.\u201d\u00a0 4\u00a0The twenty-four elders\u00a0and the four living creatures\u00a0fell down\u00a0and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried: \u201cAmen, Hallelujah!\u201d\u00a0 5\u00a0Then a voice came from the throne, saying: \u201cPraise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both great and small!\u201d\u00a0 6\u00a0Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude,\u00a0like the roar of rushing waters\u00a0and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cHallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty\u00a0reigns.\u00a0 7\u00a0Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!<\/i><\/span>
\nFor the wedding of the Lamb\u00a0has come, and his bride\u00a0has made herself ready. 8\u00a0Fine linen,\u00a0bright and clean, was given her to wear.\u201d (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts\u00a0of God\u2019s holy people.) 9\u00a0Then the angel said to me,\u00a0\u201cWrite this:\u00a0Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!\u201d\u00a0And he added, \u201cThese are the true words of God.\u201d 10\u00a0At this I fell at his feet to worship him.\u00a0But he said to me, \u201cDon\u2019t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God!\u00a0For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cLet us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!\u00a0 For the wedding of the Lamb\u00a0has come, and his bride\u00a0has made herself ready. 8\u00a0Fine linen,\u00a0bright and clean, was given her to wear.\u201d (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts\u00a0of God\u2019s holy people.)\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 The time to jump for joy and shout out as loud as can.\u00a0 The absolute ecstasy we have in finally seeing the kingdom of God as coming fully to earth and the glory of God fully shining.\u00a0\u00a0Matthew 5:12\u00a0<\/b>also says that we will \u201crejoice and be\u00a0<\/i>glad\u201d because our reward in heaven will be great.\u00a0 Now is the time He was speaking about.\u00a0 Family, we are about to share dinner with the Lamb of God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.\u00a0 What we have waited for, what we have longed for, us and every generation of disciples of Jesus, is now upon us.\u00a0 Yes, \u201cwoohoo\u2019s and yays,\u201d along with a lot of \u201cwhooping\u201d and shouts praising God will be heard.\u00a0 Have you jumped a lot lately?\u00a0 In our glorified bodies we will be not only shouting but jumping with excitement, just as David did (2 Samuel 6:16<\/b>). \u00a0\u00a0John the Baptist \u201cleaped\u201d in the womb of his mother\u2019s womb at just hearing the voice of Mary as she was carrying Jesus (Luke 1:41<\/b>). \u00a0Yes, in that glorious day we will indeed leap in joy (Luke 6:23<\/b>). \u00a0Oh, praise God!\u00a0 It feels so close, like it could happen at any moment!\u00a0 Praise God!<\/span><\/p>\n

Notice that while we are always praising God that John writes, after mentioning to rejoice, He gives the reason He is saying to rejoice.\u00a0 He wrote \u201cFor the wedding of the Lamb has come\u2026\u201d\u00a0 We are celebrating that we are in heaven, we are celebrating the fulfillment, the completion of our union with Christ.\u00a0 In our glorified bodies we are ready (2 Corinthians 5:1-8, 1 Corinthians 15:42-44<\/b>).\u00a0 The wedding is here and we are overcome with exultation of Jesus.\u00a0 He has called us home, given us celestial bodies, and given us fine linen, bright and clean, to wear.\u00a0 Wow, just wow!\u00a0 When we are wearing fresh clothes made in Heaven, how will that feel? \u00a0The fine linen will be representative of the faith in Jesus that we live in and for.\u00a0 We will surely strut in those clothes like we never have strutted before.\u00a0 Not because we have bought or deserve this fine linen, but because wearing the fine linen means that Jesus has been glorified in His sacrifice for us.\u00a0 It means we have been faithful and have held tight to God.\u00a0 Yes, oh what a time of celebration!\u00a0 Oh, we strain forward for the day!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHis bride has made herself ready.<\/i>\u201d\u00a0 His bride is us, the church (Ephesians 5:23-27, 2 Corinthians 11:2<\/b>)\u00a0<\/b>.\u00a0 How have we made ourselves ready?\u00a0 We have been made ready by walking in faith and obedience to Jesus.\u00a0 As Jesus glorified the Father while He was on earth, so we glorify the Lord Jesus.\u00a0 In the end, Jesus presents us all to the Father.\u00a0 Oh wow, what great and wonderful lies in our future\u2026and it is soon upon us!\u00a0 Praise God!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThen the angel said to me,\u00a0\u201cWrite this:\u00a0Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!\u201d\u00a0And he added, \u201cThese are the true words of God.\u201d At this I fell at his feet to worship him.\u00a0But he said to me, \u201cDon\u2019t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God!\u00a0For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 Now is the wedding supper and blessed are those who are invited to be there.\u00a0 Those who refused to humble themselves and be subject to Jesus during their lives here on earth have rejected Jesus.\u00a0 They will have not be invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb.\u00a0 But all of us who now, and have, and will live for Jesus, we will all be there.\u00a0 All of us!\u00a0 Praise God!\u00a0 We know it will be so as John emphasizes that these
\nWords, these promises are \u201ctrue Word of God.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Overwhelmed by this entire experience, and the might of the angel before Him, John falls at the feet of the angel to worship him.\u00a0 But believers in Christ worship no one and nothing besides God.\u00a0 The angel quickly rebukes John from worshipping him.\u00a0 He tells John that he is a \u201cfellow servant\u201d<\/i>\u00a0of Jesus.\u00a0 The angel reminds John of what he already knows, to worship God only.\u00a0 Never are we to worship angels (Colossians 2:18, Revelation 22:8-9<\/b>).\u00a0 We only worship God (Matthew 4:9-10, Luke 4:7-8<\/b>).\u00a0 We must not judge John harshly, and that is easy to do.\u00a0 Instead if we are kind and wise, we will consider all that He has been experiencing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Family are we tuned into how the world events make manifest that the time of the return of Jesus is close, even imminent?\u00a0 Don\u2019t listen to mockers (2 Peter 3:3-4, Jude 1:17-19<\/b>).\u00a0 We should not be ones who agree with such mockers.\u00a0 The Word calls for us to continually and constantly be looking for the return of Jesus (Matthew 25:1-13<\/b>).\u00a0 The return of Jesus, and Him taking us home to be eternally with God, is our passion and our goal.\u00a0 Family, Jesus is coming back and He is coming back for us!\u00a0 Let us be faithful to the end?\u00a0 Be excited, Jesus is coming back soon\u2026praise God!<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/i>\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear\u00a0me.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n
