Revelation 17:9-18<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0\u201cThis calls for a mind with wisdom.\u00a0The seven heads\u00a0are seven hills on which the woman sits.<\/i><\/span>\u00a010\u00a0They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for only a little while.<\/span>\u00a011\u00a0The beast who once was, and now is not,\u00a0is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.\u00a0 12\u00a0\u201cThe ten horns\u00a0you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour\u00a0will receive authority as kings along with the beast.<\/span>\u00a013\u00a0They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.<\/span>\u00a014\u00a0They will wage war\u00a0against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over\u00a0them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings\u2014and with him will be his called, chosen\u00a0and faithful followers.\u201d\u00a0 15\u00a0Then the angel said to me, \u201cThe waters\u00a0you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.<\/span>\u00a016\u00a0The beast and the ten horns\u00a0you saw will hate the prostitute.\u00a0They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked;\u00a0they will eat her flesh\u00a0and burn her with fire.<\/span>\u00a017\u00a0For God has put it into their hearts\u00a0to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority,\u00a0until God\u2019s words are fulfilled.<\/span>\u00a018\u00a0The woman you saw is the great city\u00a0that rules over the kings of the earth.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cbut the Lamb will triumph over\u00a0them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings\u2014and with Him will be His called, chosen\u00a0and faithful followers.<\/i><\/span>\u201d\u00a0 Jesus indeed is the Lord of lords and King of kings.\u00a0 He is not coming back as the Suffering Messiah.\u00a0 Some assign Him as a meek and not strong person.\u00a0 But in the Bible He is portrayed as someone who is indeed strong (Ephesians 6:10<\/b>), but who withholds showing His mighty power during His time on earth (Philippians 2:7, 2 Corinthians 8:9, Matthew 20:28<\/b>).\u00a0 When He first came He came to make the way for us to once again have shalom with God (Colossians 1:20, Ephesians 2:14<\/b>).\u00a0 He came to pay the price for our sins (Matthew 8:17<\/b>).\u00a0 When He comes back He comes back to evict the enemy and to reclaim what was created by Him.\u00a0 He comes back as the Mighty Warrior.\u00a0 Nothing can resist His power or His righteous judgement (Revelation 19:11-16<\/b>).\u00a0 And we who love Him shall be there to witness the unleashing of His divine power and that none can resist Him.\u00a0 Like proud children who see their father step between them and danger, so we will be in awe of our Lord, proud of Him, and certainly in awe of Him.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen the angel said to me, \u201cThe waters\u00a0you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.<\/span>\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 As previously discussed, the waters represented the people of the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe beast and the ten horns\u00a0you saw will hate the prostitute.\u00a0They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked;\u00a0they will eat her flesh\u00a0and burn her with fire.<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0The devil and the beast hate the prostitute.\u00a0 The prostitute is one who once was with Christ, but received within herself many filthy false religions and false practices that are abhorrent to God.\u00a0 The prostitute thought it permissible to commit adultery with what is ungodly, what is not from God, to try to entice them to God.\u00a0\u00a0 But deceiving oneself that it is okay to become one with the ungodly for a good reason is only allowing one to join the ungodly as ungodly.\u00a0 The Spirit of God does not reside as one with those who oppose God.\u00a0 Still, to the Devil and the Beast, the prostitute is detestable to them also.\u00a0 They not only have no respect for her, but they cannot stand the stench of her.\u00a0 The prostitute, trying to be both one with God and one with the World, ends up being repugnant to both God and to the enemy she sleeps with.\u00a0 She is used by devil and the beast as long as she is beneficial to their rise and power.\u00a0 Once their purpose with her is done, they will, with great distain and antipathy, expose her and tear her apart.\u00a0 She who thought herself so wonderful and so loved will find that there is no love in the arms of the devil and the beast.\u00a0 Evil only has affection for itself and once the purpose of the devil and the beast for the prostitute is done, they cast her aside.\u00a0 Now, the world has come to point of worshiping the devil and his beast, the harlot is no longer of use.\u00a0 The harlot\u2019s patron is done with her and despises her. Like Jack the Ripper, she is butchered in the streets. Remember\u00a0Galatians 6:7<\/b>\u00a0\u201cDo not be deceived:\u00a0God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

2 Kings 9:30-37<\/b>\u00a0\u201cThen Jehu went to Jezreel. When Jezebel heard about it, she put on eye makeup,\u00a0arranged her hair and looked out of a window.<\/span>\u00a031\u00a0As Jehu entered the gate, she asked, \u201cHave you come in peace, you Zimri,\u00a0you murderer of your master?\u201d\u00a0 32\u00a0He looked up at the window and called out, \u201cWho is on my side? Who?\u201d Two or three eunuchs looked down at him.<\/span>\u00a033\u00a0\u201cThrow her down!\u201d Jehu said. So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered the wall and the horses as they trampled her underfoot.\u00a0 34\u00a0Jehu went in and ate and drank. \u201cTake care of that cursed woman,\u201d he said, \u201cand bury her, for she was a king\u2019s daughter.\u201d<\/span>\u00a035\u00a0But when they went out to bury her, they found nothing except her skull, her feet and her hands.<\/span>\u00a036\u00a0They went back and told Jehu, who said, \u201cThis is the word of the\u00a0<\/span>Lord<\/span>\u00a0that he spoke through his servant Elijah the Tishbite: On the plot of ground at Jezreel dogs\u00a0will devour Jezebel\u2019s flesh.<\/span>\u00a037\u00a0Jezebel\u2019s body will be like dung\u00a0on the ground in the plot at Jezreel, so that no one will be able to say, \u2018This is Jezebel.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0 This prostitute also dies an ignominious death.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor God has put it into their hearts\u00a0to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority,\u00a0until God\u2019s words are fulfilled.<\/span>\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 What this is saying is that it is God who controls.\u00a0 The devil and those who follow him shake their fist at God and think they have accomplished something have accomplished only their doom.\u00a0 They think they are freed from Him.\u00a0 They find out that what they call freedom is merely proof of their condemnation and bondage.\u00a0 Their manacles tighten and at this point their hope of escaping is gone (Proverbs 29:6<\/b>).\u00a0 Sad. Eternally sad.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe woman you saw is the great city\u00a0that rules over the kings of the earth.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0 At the time that Revelation was written the great city that ruled was Rome.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thinking of the prostitute the Word from\u00a0Galatians 6:1-10<\/b>\u00a0comes to life:\u00a0\u201cBrothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit\u00a0should restore\u00a0that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.<\/i><\/span>\u00a02\u00a0Carry each other\u2019s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.<\/span>\u00a03\u00a0If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves.<\/span>\u00a04\u00a0Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone,\u00a0without comparing themselves to someone else,<\/span>\u00a05\u00a0for each one should carry their own load.<\/span>\u00a06\u00a0Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.\u00a0 7\u00a0Do not be deceived:\u00a0God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.<\/span>\u00a08\u00a0Whoever sows to please their flesh,\u00a0from the flesh will reap destruction;\u00a0whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.<\/span>\u00a09\u00a0Let us not become weary in doing good,\u00a0for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.<\/span>\u00a010\u00a0Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good\u00a0to all people, especially to those who belong to the family\u00a0of believers.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0 Family, \u201clet us not become weary in doing good.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 At the proper time, at the perfect time that God has preordained (Habakkuk 2:3, Proverbs 3:1,11<\/b>), we shall stand before the Lord and be found blameless thanks to the sacrifice of the Lord.\u00a0 By His blood we are made clean (1 John 1:7<\/b>).\u00a0 Let us persevere now and reap the reward of doing so, and that being true, living forever with our God and in His love.\u00a0 What a great and sure hope we have!\u00a0 Praise God!<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 150:6<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/i><\/p>\n

Micah 7:7<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0But as for me, I watch\u00a0in hope\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear\u00a0me.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Micah 6:8<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0He has shown You, O man, what\u00a0is\u00a0good; And what does the\u00a0Lord\u00a0require of You but to do justly, to love mercy, And to walk humbly with Your God.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n
