Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 – For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Oh Lord God, Oh Almighty God,
We call out to You who loves us.
With hearts that hurt for our neighbors
We also hurt for our country and the world.
We call out seeking You, the one Answer
To every problem shared by mankind.
Those who know You,
Who love and honor You,
Do not fear,
And are not discouraged,
Because You are faithful.
In Your love is peace.
In Your very real presence
Your love manifest.
We see the evidence of Your goodness,
Provision and protection all around us.
Though others cannot see,
We see You and are at peace.
Your Word states that to those
Who live in faith in You,
What is unseen moves from
Invisible to visible.
So we call out to You,
Yes for ourselves,
And even for those who
Please Lord, be merciful
To us Your creation.
Yet even in the pain we feel,
Your love is more real.
Our voices filled with praise
Are raised to honor You!
Even as we cry out for Your mercy
We, with deep conviction,
Pray to You,
“Not our will, but Yours, be done.”
As we cry out for mercy
We trust You and Your will.
Oh Lord it is You, You alone,
Whom we trust!
