2 Corinthians 5:1-2, 5-9 – For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 2 Meanwhile we groan,longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling,5 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we live by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.
God has a goal for all of us and that is for us to be with Him forever. It is our hope and dream. We look at all the pain in this world and long to be where the pain no longer touches us. God has prepared that place for us. However not having pain is not the best thing about heaven. The best thing is that we will forever be with our Lord. That is our hope and there is no greater hope.
The following verses tell of the heroes of the bible, those of great faith who didn’t settle for the things of this earth, but pushed on, through struggles, torture and death, to receive their reward of being with God in heaven. Hebrews 11:14-16 – 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
Let us likewise remember the mortality we all share and pray that we might be used by our God to share what we possess…Jesus.

by Bob withEzekiel 48:35 “…““And the name of the city from that time on will be:
THE LORD IS THERE.”
The above is from verses where the Lord was giving Ezekiel a vision of the Temple, the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem. See the name of the city…”THE LORD IS THERE.” Think about that, how awesome to live in that city!
1 Corinthians 6:19 “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
Now the above verse says that now, those who belong to Christ are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Which means that we should know and live out that “THE LORD IS THERE.” Everyone who meets us or sees us should see that “THE LORD IS THERE.”
Revelation 3:12 – 12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.
We are the temple of God. LIke in days of the Old Testament we should be a place where people come because within us is the Holy of Holies. Within us is the presence of God. We should be beacons, lighthouses, that safely draw people from a dark world. People who want to know God should come to us whom within is God Himself. Oh what an honor that we should be called Children of God. Let us remember what the sacrifice of Jesus transformed us into Look in the mirror and see a Child of God looking back at you. Look and see the temple where the Holy of Holies is to the world today. The Mighty Holy Spirit is within and daily working within us and through us. Oh beloved children of the only and almighty God of all rejoice that it is God Himself who has claimed us as His own. Rejoice that He has put His seal of ownership upon us, and that He will write His own precious and powerful name upon us. We are His! Let us rejoice and do the works our Father has called us to, through Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit…Praise God!
