Unto thee oh Lord, do I lift up my soul!
Unto thee oh Lord, do I lift up my soul!
Oh my God, I trust in thee!
Let me not be ashamed,
Let not my enemies triumph over me!
Psalm 43:4-5 – 4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight. I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God. 5 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
Isaiah 53:3 – He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
John 16:33 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. 18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. 19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD.
First thing the Lord says is “Get yourself ready!” We must be living in the grace of God through Jesus. Living in it…not just claiming it. Do we start start every day asking the Lord what HE has planned for us that day? Have we been in the Word and Prayer, accepting the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit? The Lord sends us forward and commands us to not be terrified of those who will oppose us. He has gone before us and He has done the work to prepare us. His mighty hand is upon us and before us. When doing what the Lord has called us to do we will certainly be successful as we focus on Him and follow as He leads. How many sure things are there in life? One sure thing is God, who never fails. The is only one way to heaven, that is through Jesus Christ. John 14:6 – 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Acts 4:11-12 – 11 Jesus is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Yet God freely offers His grace to all, John 3:16 – 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Peace in God through Jesus is a sure thing! As the Word of God says, He is the only way. People, since Adam and Eve’s son Cain, have tried to do it “their own way”. But God says in Proverbs 16:25 – 25 There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.
Call out to God through Jesus and we will be heard. Jesus, Savior to the world, for all who will listen and obey. He is listening for us right now. Psalm 145:19 – He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
Jesus Christ, the only Risen Savior invites everyone – Matthew 11:29-30 – 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
